Mod for AC welder
A good mod for a AC welding machine to DC current for a smoother arc and less spatter

Heat sink is very large
This has worked good for my application of converting an AC welder to DC. The only problem was fitting the heat sink into the space provided as it is very large.

Failed very quickly
I used this to convert a Harbor Freight 90A AC Flux core welder to DC like a couple of the other reviewers. Mine made it through about a half a roll of wire. Then it shorted out. Lasted two months.

Questionable
Went open after 5 minutes of use. I was within the rated amperage/voltage spec. Was past the return allotted time frame so Iโm stuck with it :(
