Great product - non toxic and easy to use.
Lice infections are no fun. After trying the usual pesticide over the counter stuff, we found they did not work at all! And the comb the kit included is completely useless. So we visited our local Lice Lifters center for a full treatment for our daughter. Now, we always keep this solution on hand. That way, if a friend/family alerts us to their own child being infected, we do a precautionary application and thorough comb through (micro grooved nit comb). Since it's non toxic, we leave it in for 20 minutes just to be sure. Here's a tip... to wash out this (very oily) solution, use a mixture of 1/4 cup of Dawn dish detergent and 1 cup water. It works very well. Then wash and condition as usual. NOTE: If you do not have a local center, you can use this home treatment all by yourself. Be sure to get a good nit comb and the proper technique (4 direction combing).. There are lots of videos on line to show you this technique. And most important, *follow the schedule carefully*. If there is a known infection, Day 1 treatment and comb through to remove as much as possible. Day 10 treatment and comb through... this will get anything that was missed on Day 1 AND will get any newly hatched nits if their eggs escaped the Day 1 treatment. Finally, a day 15 treatment and comb through. Moving forward, our new family rule is a precautionary comb through (no treatment) once per month. (We call it the quick check) Once you get the hang of it, the quick check takes about 15 minutes. (My daughter has long thick hair.) The reason you can do the 'quick check' faster is you don't have to worry so much about hair sections and separation like you would in the event of an actual infection. IF you find anything... go back and start with a real Day 1/10/15 treatment. Good luck and may your life remain lice free!

Thank. You!! (:
Okay, so I bought this solution a few months ago, sorry for the late review. But I'm doing it now. My daughter got lice at school and I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of them. Then I got them too and so did my son. It felt HORRIBLE. Couldn't sleep because of the itching. Oh it was hell and I was so embarrassed for me and the kids, panicking because every time we went out I thought everyone could see the bugs in our hair. And then, finally... I found this!! I don't know if it works for everyone, but it worked for me and my family. You don't know how nice it is for us to sleep at night and not scratch our heads off.We had been battling this for months. It was torture.I definitely recommend this for everyone to try. I know it's a bit pricey (well for me it is) but it's very well worth it.You see results instantly! The first day you use it. And yes it's very hard to wash out but it's awesome. It killed all the lice. :DI used dish detergent to wash it out and it worked.I am so very happy that we don't have to live with this nightmare anymore.Thank you, thank you, Thank you!!!! (:

Works like a charm
I have tried it all! This is the one to get if you are dealing with lice. It seems we had the "year of lice" in our home. It would seem to be gone, and then voila, it would come back to one or both of my daughters. I bought this from the rave reviews, and they were not wrong. My only issue with it, is that it is extremely oily, so here is my suggestion to anyone who uses it. Follow the directions when originally putting it on hair, when ready to take the product off, put shampoo (or better yet, dishwashing soap) on the hair before you place water on hair. This will help to break down the oil. Then get in the shower and start to lather up with water, shampoo again or you will wind up with oily hair. I used to do hair so I now what to do when it comes to oily substances, but this product is one of the oiliest I have ever seen, which is why it probably works so well. We have been lice free for 6 months now due to this product. Worth every penny!

Recommend to anyone looking to get rid of lice!!
My 5 year old daughter came home with lice from school, and tried using Nix solution, and it came back within days. On top of that the rest of the family got lice from my daughter, so I was on the hunt for something that I can use for my whole family. I was reading reviews on different lice solutions, and came across this and the comb Lice Lifters Nit Removal Comb-professional Microgroved Steel Louse and Nit Comb for Head Lice Treatment, Removes Nits. Best Results If Used with Lice Lifters Lice Treatment Solution and Lice Lifters Nit Removal Mousse. Head Lice Will Be Killed in Minutes. Head Lice Treatment Is Quick and Easy. This Is the Best Head Lice Treatment for the Whole Family. Natural alternative to RID. Natural choice to NIX. All-Natural selection to Lice MD. Best Choice instead of Fairy Tales. and after reading the positive reviews and that it was natural, I decided to try it out. I used the solution and comb on every single person in my family. The solution is very thick. I was able to use it on 4 people with one bottle (note the two girls have short hair, and the two males have short hair). Pretty much drenched their hair with it. I left it on each person for about 15 to 20 minutes. Like other reviewers mentioned, it is very oily so you will have to shampoo multiple times, or use dish soap (I recommend DAWN) first and then shampoo. Don't wet your hair though, put the dish soap or shampoo on directly and lather it in, then wet hair. After the hair is washed, I went through each person's hair with the Comb I mentioned above. It's been about 2 weeks now, and I haven't seen any lice or nits, finally!!! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for natural and effective lice treatment!!! NOTE: Make sure to wash all pillows, sheets, blankets etc in hot water and dry on high to kill any potential nits and lice. OR you can put those items in a bag for 3 days and they will die on their own. They can't live off the head for too long.
