A diamond in the rough
This is the keyboard that nobody wants to tell anyone about because it is sooooo good for the price. Id put this up with Logitech MX keyboards but with better weight. It feels so smooth and satisfying to use. This is NOT a clicky keyboard it is very quiet and the key activation feels smooth and deliberate. I appreciate the somewhat hybrid key design where they aren't chiclet style keys and not a mechanical but lies somewhere in between. By the way, I am not a keyboard snob so pardon me if I use incorrect terms. My review is based solely on my feelings and me doing my best to describe my experience. The weight of the keyboard is fantastic! I didn't think it would matter much but it does. It stays planted even when bumped by a book or cup so once you find the sweetspot on your desk it will stay there. The only thing I am wanting is a small palm rest. Not for comfort but because I am used to it so when I put my hand up there my fingers land on the top row instead of the middle/home row. A palm rest would put my fingers back but I think it could get used to not having one. The keyboard doesnt need one to feel comfortable but with the lower profile my fingers tend to naturally over reach. Again this is mostly a learning curve and cherry does make the Palmrest Ergo that would work but its more than this keyboard needs. Overall this is a great keyboard. Very well made. I dont see it wearing down quickly or anything like that. It feels like it would last 10 years and I am sure it would!

Good buy on a keyboard.
It's a keyboard. It included all the keys. They all work. It is quiet. It is substantial and well made. My only issue is that I wish the keypad were a little taller, they are extremely low profile. It works fine though. I didn't like it enough to keep it as my primary keyboard, I have it in reserve in case this one ever breaks.

With its high quality, it is the most capable keyboard to challenge productivity.
Quality: In my opinion, it's a fully evolved version of the KC1000. It lacks the cheap plastic feel of the KC1000, feels solid overall, and the keys don't wobble excessively. Thanks to the metal support, deformation is barely noticeable. Typing Feel: Smoother than the KC1000, but retains its tactile feedback. More comfortable than the Logitech K295 because of its lower overall height, but without any added stiffness. More stable than laptop keyboards; it can be considered an enhanced version of a laptop keyboard. Sound: Quieter than the KC1000, basically on par with the K295. Quite quiet in actual use. Summary: I think it's the best membrane keyboard type outside of mechanical keyboards, a godsend for those who don't want the high travel distance of mechanical switches.

Thin, solid, heavy, but occasionally squeaky
The keyboard is thin but surprisingly solid and heavy, which I think is a good thing for staying put on my desk. They keys are mostly quiet, but some of them occasionally squeak if pressed in certain ways. For example, the Enter key on the numpad often squeaks if I press it quickly on the right edge of the key. I generally like the layout of the keys. I'm not the biggest fan of the red LEDs, but the color does match the brand name, I suppose. If I were considering purchasing the keyboard again knowing what I know now, I probably would not have purchased it (since there are other options) unless I saw a great sale on it.

Best keyboard ever, and not just for the price! Sit's firm and heavy!
BEST KEYBOARD!!! The reviews sold it for me, and I'd buy another just for future other computers it's so good! Heavy, does not move! Even has bottom grip if you don't use the standard little fold out legs (which also have grip!) The keys are marvelous and I'm a big clacker keyboard person. The bevel is below each key and mades for SURE and SPEEDY keystokes! I am a hacker and grew up with stuff like the TRS-80 CoCo 2 and up so I know some keyboards LOL. Seriously buy two of these now.

Solid keyboard!
I really like this keyboard. It's of a solid construction, and even though it's not mechanical, the keys have a great tactile feel. Very quiet as well. I'd absolutely buy it again.

Works great even with 3 years of daily use! Great quality
Update March 2026: I have been using this keyboard since January 2023 and it has been working great. After daily use for 3 years, it still works great! The keys themselves have shiny spots where I touched them from continuous typing, but the lettering is still solid. Nothing got rubbed off, which is quite impressive. My various Logitech ones would have failed by now and I would need a replacement. I am happy to say that I do not have to find another one and feel like I wasted money. Like the other reviewers who mentioned that their keys stick or fail, similar experience happened to me UNTIL I thoroughly cleaned my keyboard of debris, especially under each key. When I regularly clean my keyboard, the issues of keys sticking is completely eliminated. My keyboard has not failed again due to me cleaning it often. AGAIN, make sure you regularly inspect your keyboard and clean it often to ensure the keys work. In addition, some of plastic pieces of the keys sometimes pop off but this is not a problem since I can pop them back in. You just need to press the pieces back into place and you can feel the click of those pieces locking into place. The keys work just fine The Cherry Stream Keyboard is AWESOME! I have been looking for high quality keyboards for quite a while now since my favorite keyboard from Logitech is discontinued. I loved the Logitech K740 Illuminated Keyboards since 2010 and gone through several since then. Logitech not only discontinued this line of keyboards but the quality has significantly declined since I bought my first one back in 2010. I no longer trust the quality of their keyboards and will only buy their mice. My fingers are quite small and most keyboards are not touch sensitive enough for me. Many need quite a lot of pressure or "pounding" of fingers to register letters on my monitor. Eventually, my wrists and fingers would ache since I type A LOT for both working at home and for personal use. This keyboard ROCKS! This is the best keyboard I have ever used since my first Logitech K740 Illuminated Keyboard back in 2010. This keyboard is super high quality and very solid. It has wonderful weight to it and the price is awesome. The high quality in this Cherry Stream Keyboard used to be there for Logitech ones before they lost their way and now their keyboards maybe last 1-2 years and double the price of this keyboard. The price is so good for the quality! I might buy 2 more to keep around when I wear out the one I am using. I just hope that the quality continues to remain high. Now I am wondering if Cherry makes mice as well. If they are high quality as this keyboard, I would definitely switch to buying mice from them too! As for "Spill Proof" or "Spill Resistant", I have not tested to see if this is the case and do not know how that works with this keyboard. I just wonder if the keys are engineered to be moisture proof? As of now, I am really happy to have researched and come across this this keyboard. I highly recommend for anyone who types fast and often like myself because it is saving my wrists and fingers.....

Nice Solid Keyboard
I researched a lot of keyboards before I choose this one. I wanted something wired, low-profile and relatively quiet but with some sort of tactile experience. I would say this fits the bill. The quality is nice. The keyboard has weight to it and it feels well made. Check the video for how the keys sound. I think they are very pleasant to type on. They make little bit of noise but they are not loud. I didn’t want some flashy keyboard so I like the discreet black design. Setup was easy - just plugged it in and it worked great. I’ve had no issues. I have rated it 4 stars because I can’t say it’s the perfect keyboard. I have had to get used to it and I think there is something about the layout or size that hurt my left hand for a bit. I am used to it now and I do enjoy using this keyboard. I think it’s great for the price. But someday I will try other keyboards for sure.

Great keyboard for a very decent price
A few years ago I bought the wireless version of this keyboard. Recently it had a malfunction and stopped working. I was however so pleased with it (and used to it) that I ordered the wired version of the keyboard. For me it works great. I like the keys and the layout with extra function keys. I also like the Cherry support, With the old keyboard I had an issue with a key (was my own fault) and Cherry quickly replaced the key. Great service! Hope to be able to use this keyboard for many years.

That one keyboard we've all been looking for productivity
The first thing you realize when you take it out of the box is the weight, which is a good thing. The design is classic Cherry minimalism and blends well with any work desk. The key switches are scissor type and reminiscent of the old IBM ThinkPad series. Typing is a dream on this and one can speed type on this without too many mistakes. Build quality is top notch and it shows. Next to no flex and no cheap plastic squeakiness. If you really want to nitpick, one wishes the NUM, CAPS,SCROLL lights could maybe be a bit more brighter, but then again that would take away the clean aesthetic. Otherwise, it's a solid keyboard and you get every bang for your buck.
