For the price you probably won’t find a better flight-size carry-on backpack than the Cabin Max Metz
The Cabin Max Metz backpack offers an enormous amount of space for its size. Combined with its weight of less than 800 grams, it enables you to maximize the amount of luggage you can bring with you on board the cabin of an airplane. This does come at the expense of both ease of use and wearing comfort. Because of the lack of straps and dividers your luggage tends to get jumbled. Its shape and padding style make the Metz not the easiest backpack to carry around for a while. For the price you probably won’t find a better flight-size carry-on backpack than the Cabin Max Metz. If you’re going for absolute maximum packing volume, you won’t find a better bag, period. But if you’re willing to spend a bit more and sacrifice some capacity, there are better choices out there. I give the Cabin Max Metz backpack 3 out of 5 stars.

(~25lbs) but it did not feel great to have one walking around airports and up and ...
I bought this for a 3 week backpacking trip through Thailand and Vietnam, mainly because I had a lot of short flights between cities and wanted something I wouldn't have to pay extra to check and could just bring in-cabin with me. Looking back, I would've just opted for something that would disperse the weight more equally along my body. Granted, I packed everything I needed for 3 weeks in this, (~25lbs) but it did not feel great to have one walking around airports and up and down stairs. I tried on my friend's backpack, made for hiking/backpacking, and it felt immensely lighter even though it was technically heavier. I'd opt for something better if you're planning a longer trip. This would probably work for a short 1-2 week stint if you don't have much.

NOTICE! Incorrect description
The description for this pack is incorrect! The pack is said to be of the larger size but it's actually the smaller size! If you want as much space as you can get, go with the black/ green combo backpack! Please see the photo. The width of the bag on top is clearly much shorter that the black bag beneath it!As for the bag itself, seems durable and would be great for weekend traveling. The larger sized pack should be sold in a more variety of colors.

Easy visibility of contents
This backpack held up amazingly during my 3 week backpacking trip through Germany. The fact that you can unzip the side zippers and see all your contents as if it was a suitcase is the best EVER!I got the yellow one so, in case someone tried to run off with it, I'd be able to spot it. It worked. The only thing with the light color is that it shows the dirt really easy. But it also cleans easily (most stains).I recommend it.

There is a version with wheels that might be nice, it weighs a bit more
Extremely light, and holds a surprising amount of clothing. There is a version with wheels that might be nice, it weighs a bit more, but you don't have to carry it everywhere. It does the job and doesn't weigh a ton.

This backpack is perfect! I used it backpacking six countries and it held all my clothes, toiletries, books, a tripod, and all the things I picked up along the way. It was light and easy to throw on several carry on compartments. I've attached a picture of me wearing it in Switzerland.

Pack seemed fine when we bought it for our daughter for Christmas
Pack seemed fine when we bought it for our daughter for Christmas, but when we packed it for the first time today (12 hours before her flight to Ecuador) it started to tear. Not a good feeling when you're heading off on a long trip. We had to ditch it and pull out our tried and true Patagonia carry-on bag for a last minute fix. Too bad, as the CabinMax one was much cuter and our daughter had been excited to use it.

Holds a lot of stuff. Would prefer a few more inner pockets but I would still buy this item again.
