2010 album from the Colombian musician and Latin music superstar. The album's first single, 'Yerbatero', was released worldwide as he performed it during the global broadcast of The FIFA 2010 World Cup Kickoff Concert. The second single "Y No Regresas" , as well as the album, was written and produced by Juanes and Stephen Lipson (producer of famous stars like, Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones, U2 and Jeff Beck among others).

Juanes is one of my favorite artists, and this album is no disappointment. Although it does not have as many catchy songs as La vida...es un ratico, all of the songs are good. His style is unlike anyone else's and is undeniably "Juanes." As always, there are messages of hope and love in his songs. Even if you do not speak Spanish, you can definitely enjoy the melody and the guitar on this album.The best song by far on this album is Yerbatero. It's one of those songs that you will find yourself singing all day, and you just have to listen to it. In a more musical sense, his complicated rhythms and clever modulation make the song interesting and unique.In the end, its a great album, and it doesn't have 5 stars simply because Juanes has other albums that are even more amazing.

Great CD but not among his best
I am a huge Juanes fan and was looking forward to this release and for the most part it did not disappoint; however it's simply lacking punch and his usual lyrical strength. There is no denying that there is some catchy stuff on this release ("Yerbatero"), but too many middle of the road songs that don't have his usual soul. If you are fan I would purchase it. If you are new to Juanes, try any of his earlier releases over this one.

A Departure
This CD was not what I expected but, after listening to it I still liked it. It's slower and more emotional than the other CD's. Fijate Bien is emotional but, not in the same way. PARCE has a more personal edge, like Juanes decided to write in his journal for a while. If you want his usual driving guitar work you may be disappointed. I suggest listening with an open mind to another facet of an amazing songwriter.

It appears Juanes thought this album was not the best that he could do. I would disagree--I think it's the best work he's ever done! I teach Spanish in high school classes, and my students all love "Yerbatero!"

Entiendo que Juanes estaba en un periodo de cambio y experimentacion, pero este es posiblemente uno de los puntos mas bajos de su creacion musical, a lo que le siguio la presentacion para el mundial en johannesburgo.

Great!
I have been a fan of Juanes since I heard "Mi Sangre" and have all his CDs. I was not disappointed with P.A.R.C.E. I haven't stopped playing it since it arrived. Quimera, Amigos, La Soledad, and La Razon are my favourites, but I love all the songs on this CD and think they have great vocals, lyrics and fantastic guitar music.

Nice album!
Hard to find this one in Portugal. It's a nice album, could have more tracks. But since I like Juanes, I had to get this one!

Juanes - PARCE CD
DIese CD hat einen etwas anderen Timbre als die anderen. DIe Texte sind nachdenklicher und er mischt andere Musikstile mit hinein , z.B. bei Yerbatero -orientalisch anmutend.WEr Spanisch versteht, für den sind die Texte wie immer berührend schön. NIcht jeder SOng ist allerdings zum Mittanzen geeignet.Mir gefällt sie nach mehrmaligem Hören sehr.
