Fantastic Maths Dictionary
This is a fantastic quality maths dictionary.Designed for pupils starting secondary school (supports the national curriculum) and is ideal to use all the way up to GCSE exams. The dictionary contains over 1000 maths terms and concepts. The dictionary is very easy to use with a 2-column alphabetical dictionary format makes it quick and simple to find what you need.At the front of the dictionary there is a handy page showing how to use the dictionary, a quick reference guide showing key terms along with a list of maths symbols and there meanings. The layout is very clear all and has a number of features:* each word gives a detailed definition* some having illustrations* formula related to the word* examples showing how to use the word in a sentence or the maths problem being worked through* word build showing other words which work together with the same topic* along with showing you other related words so you can cross reference to otherAll the key maths topics are covered from data, circle geometry, quadratics, matrices, vectors, and problem solving to just name a few.I have a number of Oxford dictionaries and they are always excellent quality and are off a high standard this is no expectation. This dictionary is excellent.Every school should have a copy of this dictionary. This will greatly benefit my teenage daughter who struggles with maths.Great value for money.Would highly recommend.

Oxford Mathematics Dictionary
I wouldn’t say I’m mathematically minded! Literature etc I’m more than happy to get involved in but maths is a No No!! I’ve always found anything more than arithmetic difficult to comprehend which makes things harder when my daughter gets stuck on maths homework! This Mathematics Dictionary has become very helpful, it has an explanation of every mathematical problem with straightforward meanings and diagrams. It’s in alphabetical order so all terms can be easily found. The dictionary is designed for secondary school age students up to GCSE level. Undoubtedly it’s helpful for revision and turning too when work comes home from school. It’s an at home aid to understanding the vast range of mathematical terms. I’ve always turned to the Oxford English Dictionary for word meanings - this dictionary is the equivalent for Mathematical meanings.

Comprehensive (perhaps overly so)
This is a really well put together mathematics dictionary. Don't mistake it for a textbook - some of the words and concepts are far beyond what would be needed in school. But don't let that put you off - for a keen mathematician, this will allow them to read beyond their textbook and lessons and start to understand the broader world of maths.Recommended.

Great reference guide
This guide is really comprehensive with over 1000 words/phrases explained. It is really clearly presented with good explanations of mathematical terms and where appropriate formulas. At the front of the book there is a quick reference guide for shapes, symbols and conversion. This will be really useful for helping my son with his maths now he is at secondary school.
