I was skeptical about trying this face cleanser because so many, including from brands like Neutragena and Cetaphil, have not made much of a difference with my skin.I've been fighting adult acne since I was pregnant with my youngest child and it has been a terrible ride. I have tried expensive prescriptions, expensive cleansers and creams, and organic products like African black soap and raw shea butter.I purchased my first bottle of this at a grocery store and used it as directed for a week -- and immediately ordered a second bottle on bimonthly subscription here. Did I break out initially? Yes. Did the cleanser smell like lemon and/or ginseng? Not at all, not gonna lie. Was it at least clean smelling? Definitely.There is a small amount of fine microbeads in this product. Usually those irritate my acne prone skin but these seem to be more for lifting dirt out of your pores instead of flaying your flesh. A little more than a quarter sized dollop of cleanser + some water makes a nice lather, then you massage it into your face for a full minute followed by 30 seconds of rinsing. This is the important part as it helps the surfactants carry off all the dirt and excess oils; I use cool water for the last step because my skin is sensitive and it helps close your pores.So, week 1 was a little crazy. On the first day I used this, my skin felt A M A Z I N G. It was soft, it was smooth, it was 100% clean. But every time you change products, your face freaks out and this was no exception.Week 2, the breakout spots were mostly flat (thanks, hydrocolloid patches) and my skin was again soft and brighter, as advertised.I'm on week 3 now (5/8/21) and the acne has cleared up with just 1x daily use. There are a few red spots but normally by now I'd have some oily bumps on my jawline or forehead. Nothing new has popped up. My skin is practically glowing and I'm excited for the red spots to fade so I can enjoy the skin I had pre-pregnancy 😍I'll update if anything goes wildly wrong but for now : If you're an adult with acne prone skin, I recommend this product. It is gentle but thorough and improved the texture of my skin in less than a month. I might add their weekly scrub from the same yuzu lemon line if trends continue, and try the face mask!

I was soooooo looking forward to using this Biore brightening jelly! But the side is opening! It sucks! I wanted to use it on my face but ill be using it on my hands and arms or legs only now! Was sooo looking forward to this. Such a bummer. :((((((

Highly recommended to me by a friend who has youthful looking, glowing skin.With wet skin (face, décolleté, hands) apply this gel, leave on for several minutes, rinse. I don’t need to say anything else. Just look in the mirror.For me, the brightening effect in itself was great. But when two stubborn sun spots faded until practically unnoticeable (after only a few applications) I was sold.Even better with repeated use. Don’t really care for the weird aroma, but who cares when the results speak volumes. This product is now a part of my must-have daily routine.ETA: Still a great product; just be sure to thoroughly rinse. Thoroughly.My friend who recommended told me they two tiny bumps on their face which turned out to be the tiny exfoliating plastic beads in this product.I had also experienced one incident. Something that looked like a tiny blemish turned out to be a minuscule plastic exfoliating bead stuck just below surface of skin. Removed with tweezers. Maybe this is why product is now “unavailable”?

So, I love love LOVE Biore skin care products especially since it works on my sensitive combination skin. Normally I always use to Black charcoal cleanser or the Pink quartz Charcoal cleanser but this time I decided to try something new.. to the Ginseng Cleanser.Initially, I was skeptical since I’ve never used it before and after having this product for about a year or two I haven’t even finished the bottle! It does clean my skin really well and helps to lighten some of my small break outs however… I cannot and like no seriously cannot get over the smell! To me it smells like cleaning products but like on your face! Maybe I have a weird nose or something but the smell is way to chemical like.Anyways… I gave it 3 stars… it has great lather, cleans pretty well, exfoliates a little bit too, lightens dark spots and brightens face, but the smell is awful. If it smelled better… I would have give 5 stars.

This product does not have an exfoliate in it. It works great with a silicon face scrubber though. I use them together daily. My skin definitely looks brighter. Nice relaxing fresh scent, makes me happy on those mornings I don't want to get up.

I would like a way to get a refund or new product even when the product is not eligible for return if the product is damaged. The tube was split vertically down the side and product was leaking out when I received it.

I have such sensitive skin so it is so hard to find face washes that don't make me breakout. But this product was so light and smooth. I could see the difference in a week and it gives my skin a healthy fresh feeling and glow. There is a very light scent if lemon but goes away as you wash your face.
