Lew's Tournament MP Speed Spool LFS Baitcast Fishing Reel, Aluminum Frame, Premium 10 Stainless Steel Ball Bearings

It's a very nice reel and Lew's makes some nice reels . I don't know how this reel compares with the high end Lew's reels that sell for over $400 but for $160 the LFS MP reel seems to be a high quality reel . I ordered the RH 5:6-1 Gear ratio to use on my deep crankbait rod but the seller sent me a RH 6:8-1 Gear Ratio reel . Instead of returning the reel I am going to keep it and use it for techniques other than deep cranking . I don't know if Lew's has discontinued this particular model but the LFS MP reels in 5:6-1 Gear Ratio are very difficult to find

Got this for Mya son, he wanted a good batches and another one he bought constantly bird nested. This one has been great. Smooth easy cast and. It bird nest issues. First time using it, caught a personal best.

I was looking for my first real quality baitcaster reel since I purchased my first one some 6 yrs ago. Feel in love with the feel so I decided to step up my game and find a quality reel for this upcoming 2021 season. Researched on Google and, of course, you have your typical name brands but came across the Lews brand and it kept coming up in the "best bait cast reel in the $150 range" of bait cast reels. The deeper I dove into the reviews it became clear it was a "no brainer" to give it a try. Purchased the Lew's Tournament MP TS1XHMP Baitcaster Lancer Lourd. My first day was awesome. Getting used to the distance. A few birds nests as I adjust but nothing I can't handle. I goes a mile! Awesome reel! Awesome feel!

I had purchased a bait-caster reef from a competitor, the breaking system would only work if the tension and magnetic break were set a maximum. Called manufacturer's service depart and went through all the possibilities and was then told to return the reel Reel exchanged with Amazon and and another reel, same make and model, was sent. Same problem, breaking system only worked at maximum setting. Returned this to Amazon and ordered this LEW'S reel. Love this reel. I have a Abu Garcia REVO4 SX-SHSD (8.0:1) but after 1 year of light use, needs to be sent in for repair. LEW'S will be getting my future business.

This is my first Lews reel. I have used Bass pro brand bait casters for years and had good luck with them . I had a fishing buddy that had Lews reels and he had me try one of his and I could cast much farther and it was so smooth. I didn't know my old reels were that bad so I picked up 2 lews Tournament my speed spool Lf reels and I love them. I've only fished with them 3 times so far and they are easy to dial in for the weight of the bait your using.

It’s a good durable reel I have a few of these with different gear ratios and they do the job Like everything else these days made over seas and over priced

I got this to upgrade from a cheap castking bait caster and the action is a lot smoother and it has a nice durable build quality worth the money when on sale imo. I have compared it with my friends shimano and I dont think you can go wrong with either brand. Might not help you catch more fish but you'll feel a lot better doing it.

I really love this reel. I got the 8:3:1 gear ratio and it’s perfect. Backlashes are minimum. If you’re brand new to casters you will get backlashes regardless of model and brand it’s a learning process for you new folks. Brakes are nice and smooth and the 20lb drag is mint. I run 30lb braid on a MH for anything over 3/8oz lures. 3/8oz and under I run 15-20lb braid and a Medium/fast. Keeps backlashes next to a bare minimum for me.

Was great at first, but downhill from there. 3 bearings failed including the anti reverse roller bearing. The numbers on the external brake dial wore off the first week of use. I contacted Lew’s twice, but they never responded.
