The monitor has a modern homely look, the OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by pressable buttons on the underside of the bottom bezel, towards the right. There is also a vertical slit-style power LED integrated into the power button, which glows a gentle white when the monitor is on and pulses white when in a low power state (signal to the PC is lost). Out of the box the image was quite rich with some good depth and ‘pop’ to shades. It was fairly well-balanced. Bottom line, in terms of feature-set, it’s a solid all-round performance at an affordable price.

I wanted a monitor to enhance my tiny laptop screen for my personal laptop. I have 2 monitors for my work laptop that makes working great, but when I switch to my personal laptop I find myself annoyed with having to scroll for the simplest webpages and word documents. This Dell monitor fits the bill. I now can read my emails, work on my personal code projects, surf the web without the constant scroll left and right. The surprise was the quality of the picture and sound from the speakers. The size is good for side by side windows for when I'm working on code. Very happy.

We purchased this monitor based on past experience with Dell monitors and the fact that it had built in speakers. We've always had good luck with Dell monitors both in display quality and in build quality and after purchase support. We needed an inexpensive monitor as part of a tech upgrade I was doing for my mother-in-law, something simple that she could hook up for herself. It doesn't get much easier than this; just a two wires, power and HDMI. The speakers are good quality for basic computer sound and video conferencing and the display is excellent for its price range. We're very happy with our purchase and my mother-in-law is happy with her new workstation.

TLDR; Good budget monitorThese monitors are a good choice for a second or 3rd monitor. I use these in a 4 monitor setup as pictured and they are great monitors with think bezels and a low profile. They have support for AMD Free Sync so if you have an AMD graphics card these would pair well with a budget gaming rig. I wouldn't use it for anything high end since they cap out at 60hz. I have a couple of issues with color accuracy as the colors look a bit washed out but with some tweaking to the settings I got it to look decent. Because of the color accuracy issues, I wouldn't recommend this monitor for creative work. I also appreciate the grey backplate on the back of the monitor as it fits well with my setup and it's a nice break from seeing all black everything.

I took a chance on this monitor with only one review..but was not disappointed. Dell makes the best monitors hands down. The monitor was for a business build which needed decent built in speakers. This is the main reason I purchased this model. It's not audiophile quality sound...but definitely better than any other monitor speakers I have heard. Music sounds fine. Picture is colorful, and text is sharp.

I bought a BeeLink miniPC and needed both a monitor and speakers. This did the trick. Beautiful display and the speakers are fine. Hooked the monitor to my PC with a HDMI cord and no A-V wire needed. Computer recognized it easily. Now I have it hooked both to my iMac as a second monitor and also to my mini PC. The iMac also recognized it easily. A HDMI switch is all I needed to share the monitor with both computers. This a brand new Dell monitor that just came out in August 2020.

I didn't expect it because of a different review, but the Dell S2421H model definitely does come with speakers. The stand isn't adjustable beyond tilting, but it was easy to set up and was detected instantly by my laptop. It's very bright though, maybe my old computer was dull but I had to adjust the brightness because it was retina burning. Overall good purchase, will update this review in a few months.

VESA mounts and dual HDMI inputs were exactly what we needed.This monitor is a little thick through the middle. It starts thin-ish around the edges and feels like it's gotta be close to two inches thick at the back where the vesa mounts are located. If you're ok with that then this is a great monitor for the price - 150.00 when we bought it in 07/21.Power is a universal power cable so you're not messing around with a power brick. Great color and sharpness and an easy to navigate on-screen menu for switching between sources.Couldn't be happier.
