How long does it take to dry enough to walk on?

If you spread it on then buff it up it’s dry almost immediately it’s very good and a lovely sheen

What area will this cover?

I did two wide steps and haven’t used very much if this helps

Is this suitable for outdoor use?

The Terracotta Tile Shine can be used outdoors. It should however be applied to a dry surface and have time to dry before getting wet. Whilst it is not as durable as a paint the upside is that it gives a more natural finish enhacing the characteristics of the surface rather than completely covering them.

Can this be used on hearth tiles

I'm not sure what hearth tiles look like - I used it on red window casement tiles and after three coats it really brought the colour to life
