Very thin but not so thin it is flimsy and easily bendable. 3-5mm perhaps?

There are 4 holes on each L bracket. Each leg has 2 holes at 1" center to center. Hope this helps.

How long are the screws on the L shape bracket and are the holes tapered to receive the tapered screws?

16mm screws and the screw are even with the bracket
