Does this product help cure and or prevent root rot?

Absolutely not. This is not trichoderma. I have cultured it out on agar several times and only dactylium was present. This is a scam product.

Does this help prevent "damping off" of seedlings?

its helps. Also bacilium subtilis helps a lot!

Why don't I see any fungus growing on my agar plates when I inoculate a sample from this package on it and incubate it ?

In order to properly grow fungi on your agar plates, more information about your lab setting is needed. It might be that something you're doing in the process is off. It may be helpful to check your experimentation process: E.g. Are you hydrating the sample in liquid prior, how much powder are you using per amount of liquid? What type of agar are you using? Pour plate or spread plate? What is your incubator temperature? How long is your incubation time? Properly growing fungi on agar plates requires some meticulous planning and expertise. With proper guidance and lab settings, getting some fungal colonies to grow on your plate should not be difficult.
