Exactly what I needed!
Let me first say, the grip works perfectly on my Sony A6500 and benefited my needs in more ways than its intended purpose. My first impression, everything as a battery grip gives me a bigger surface area to hold my camera. I have a Tamron 17-70 lens, and it's massive compared to the camera, and this grip makes everything feel proportionate. Not only that, but of course the added slot for the battery to double the usage, is a plus. I also like how you can charge the batteries through the grip itself without needing to take the batteries out and charging them. The only thing is, now I can't easily access the memory card because my workflow when I need the photos/videos out of the camera was taking the memory card out and using it on my card reader. I'll probably start utilizing the wireless transfer features, or using a usb cable to transfer (which I don't mind because it gives me the extra grip and power). The added bonus (and actually what made me decide to finally get a battery grip after all these years) is that the added weight actually made me able to use my new gimbal (FeiyuTech SCORP 2). I had recently purchased the gimbal for video work, and unfortunately, the weight balance between the lens and camera made it unbalanced using the gimbal. I was ready to return the new gimbal until I realized the weight needed was on the camera's end - hence me realizing what better way to add weight on that end is by getting a battery grip! Now, everything works and balanced and I'm still under the weight capacity of the gimbal!Overall, I'm satisfied and very happy with this grip. I wish I didn't have to use the cable to be able to use the shutter on the grip, but it's not that big of a deal for me since most of my work will be in landscape and the cable is a minor thing.

Neat add on
it seems to utilize one battery at a time, so the battery life in camera will read 1% then suddenly 99%
