Nine years and going strong…
I bought one of these when they first came out and I loved it. During a move I lost it. Immediately bought a new one in 2016. The one in these pictures is that same one I bought in 2016. I’ve washed it, carried it daily on the farm, carried it on shift as a security officer. I mean I’ve put this thing through life for the last 9 years and the only wear and tear on it, is the plastic windows have some discoloration. 100/10 I’d buy again. This product is American 🇺🇸 made and rock solid.

A very well made wallet with a few flaws
Before buying the Spec-Ops T.H.E. Wallet Jr., I had been using the same wallet for about 20 years. I've had my eye on all the Spec-Ops wallets for a while now, and when I decided that it was finally time to replace my old and trusted wallet I went with Spec-Ops. I've been using the T.H.E. Jr wallet for almost 2 months now, and overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. I wanted a smaller wallet because 1) I don't have many credit/debit cards so I don't need 25 slots for cards & other stuff, and 2) I have problems sometimes with my back. When a disc gets herniated, sitting down with a wallet in my back pocket is TORTURE, so I needed/wanted something with a small enough profile that it wouldn't cause me any/much physical discomfort when sitting on the wallet. The Spec-Ops T.H.E. Wallet Jr fit my needs & requirements. I like this wallet, but it definitely has flaws. If they were fixed the walled could be so much better. Now, on to the review. The physical construction of the wallet is great. There were no loose/hanging threads when I opened the bag and took out the wallet for the first time. It isn't double stitched, but it looks tough and sturdy. This sounds silly/stupid, but it took me almost a week to figure out how to close the wallet (there aren't any directions/instructions in the bag). When open, (looking left to right) on one end is a see-through pocket and on the other side it has 2 holes for stringing a cord through (if you want to carry the wallet on your neck). There is 3” of extra material that make up a flap at the right end of the wallet with 2 small fold points. To securely close the wallet, you first fold/close the wallet it as you would for any other bi-fold wallet (folding in the middle). Then you fold the flap back over the body of the wallet, and finally you tuck the tongue of the flap into a pocket made for securely closing the wallet. I posted pictures of this so it may make more sense.Getting credit cards and other things into T.H.E. Jr can at times be tough to do. To say that cards fit snugly in this wallet is an understatement - it can be downright HARD to get cards into (and out of) parts of the wallet. I used the outside see through pocket for my driver’s license, which I love. I can just pull out my wallet and show my DL without having to take it out. Since this is a bi-fold style wallet, the inside of the Spec-Ops THE Jr is broken up into a left and right side (if you are using it traditionally and not wearing it around your neck). On the left side is a see-through pouch, a zippered pouch behind the see through one, and more space under these 2 pouches. On the right side are 5 slots for credit cards, with 2 spaces under the card slots for additional storage. The area for cash has a zippered pouch that runs the full length of the wallet.I like the wallet, but as I said earlier it could be better. The 1 key issue I have with T.H.E. Jr wallet is that the wallet is juuuuuust a bit too small/tight in certain places, which makes it impossible to put a credit/debit card/anything in those spaces. As I said before, there are 5 main slots for credit cards, but I can only get cards into the bottom 3 spots. Spot 4 & 5 are impossible to get a card into. As a matter of fact, the 5th spot is hampered by what I can only describe as a design flaw. The top edge of the cash slot tapers down INTO the 5th card slot, making it impossible for a credit card to fit (see picture). I find it incredibly hard to believe that nobody at Spec-Ops noticed this, so it kinda irritates me to think that they know about this issue and haven’t fixed it. The other spaces for putting things into also suffer from this spacing issue. I should be able to fit store coupon cards or business cards into these places, but I can’t. If there was 1/16 more space it would be a perfect wallet! If I had more credit/debit cards then I’d probably give the Spec-Ops T.H.E. Jr wallet 3 stars due to the spacing issue, but since I only have 3 cards I’ll give it a 4.

Excellent Wallet, Just a tad big
I purchased this wallet instead of a typical style wallet because I like having my stuff secure which a regular wallet typically just is not. I also like the fact this is made out of a more durable material that I expect will last me many years. The zippered pouch inside of the billfold area comes in handy for storing cash or other items you want to keep especially secure. The shark bite closure design is very simple and seems to be very effective. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a large wallet to carry around with typical clothes. If you are in the armed services it easily fits in to BDU pockets, but regular jeans or shorts will accomodate this but not with much more room. It is also a little akward to open if you are used to a regular style wallet just because of the design and the size. I do like that it has two clear pockets for ID and makes it easy to show ID without opening the wallet. I cannot imagine needing the full size version of this as an EDC wallet for a civilian.Made in the USA!!!Overall very happy with it even if it is a bit on the large size for everyday use. I would rather have a larger size and have this durability and security than a typical mens folding wallet. Will buy again when it wears out. Which might be a while. I just wish it came in OD green. The front plastic window had some black smudges inside of it from something when I bought it. No big deal though. I do kind of wish the logo inside was smaller.** 07/12/2013 update **I have to update this review and raise it to 5 stars. After I have grown accustomed to the larger size of this wallet compared to the one I used to have, and also accustomed to the way it opens I have really fallen in love with this design. It has been very secure and very well thought out. I love the zippered cash compartment that is virtually a secret to the unfamiliar and I love the shark bite closure.I just hope I can buy another one when this wears out... a long time from now.
