Chimes' Ginger Chews - Variety 3 Pack - Original, Mango, and Orange

These arrived fresh and taste so amazing to anyone whom loves ginger! The heat level on the spicy ones is quite low, but it is there and may not be tolerable to those whom are extra sensitive to heat. The value for the money is fair and the medicinal properties of ginger can provide stomach relief. You'll enjoy the smooth and chewy texture and with this variety pack, you get to try at least 3 of their fun flavors! My favorite is original and the spicy lemon. mmmMMmm

I purchased this 3 pack with the hope that a flavor added would make ginger more tolerable to me and it did. I am not a fan of the original (don't like ginger flavor) but the orange and mango I could eat at least 3 or 4 of those! They are chewy, but if you put them in your mouth and just suck on them /rub on them with your tongue to smooth out for a few minutes to get them warm and soft, they won't be difficult. I was afraid the first few that I went through that they would pull my crowns off my teeth (have done that with a gummy worm before!!) so I was hesitant to eat them. Got a phone call from a customer just as I had popped it in my mouth and had to push it in my cheek to hold until the phone call was done and that is when I learned the warmth of being inside your mouth will make it softer to chew. Probably aids in it working, too if you aren't gobbling it down? Don't know if that is scientifically proven or not though so don't hold me to it. For those complaining they are difficult to open...only if you aren't able to read instructions or if you have arthritic hands. The back of the package states "Lift Flap to Open" then the top of the candy says "Tear Here" pointing toward the seam. You can't see "Tear Here" if you haven't read the "Lift flap to open" and done that though. Tear Here" is hidden underneath the flap. Then it tears all of the way down the package to expose the yummy ginger chew. I wish they were a hair larger in size because I can see where you would need scissors if you had arthritic fingers/hands or general deterity movement issues. Other than that, I see no issues with the package opening. If you don't lift the flap seam though, you won't be able to tear through the pacakge!

Good flavor, definitely has a ‘spicy’ kick but the orange and mango are so good. The consistency is a bit like salt water taffy or tough caramel; suck on these (especially if you’re trying to ease nausea). If you chew it’s a bit like eating milk duds and they’ll get stuck in your teeth for a minute. The biggest complaint I saw before buying these was the packaging. The individual flavor packs are a bit smaller than I thought they would be (about the size of an outstretched palm). But, I got them for morning sickness and I just passed into the second trimester with nausea easing up and they lasted the perfect amount of time. It’s also good if you’re not sure which flavor you’ll like or want some variety, which I found nice since day-to-day some foods are just repulsive right now. Other reviewers also mentioned it being hard to get the candies out of their individual wrappers. The wrappers are small and the candy is sticky, they definitely get stuck. But if you feel around for the air bubble and tear from the side with more air you can get a better grip and peel back the wrapper. From there you can pinch the candy out (or if you’re a classy lady like me, bite down gently and pull off the rest of the wrapper). They cover the candy in a light dusting of powered sugar or starch so it doesn’t stick completely. If you’re getting these for nausea keep in mind that the effect only lasts a little (which is probably true for most ginger remedies), for me it was an hour at most. Good Luck!

Not really to my liking taste wise. The orange was the best of the 3 flavors. Original & mango, not so fond of.

I have been searching for a ginger chew that settles my stomach, has good flavor and is affordable. I have been pleased with this product so far.

This was the first time I ordered this Particular brand of ginger chews . I found this brand to be more flavorful . My throat felt the difference in quality of taste & Effectiveness ! Great find ! I love the variety of favors added to the ginger yet still maintaining each individual favor in the combination as a whole.
