This is THE BEST headlamp I've ever used. I took it camping as a trial run, before elk camp this fall. It was bright enough to light up our entire tent, no latern needed. I took it outside in the dark to get a drink from the ice chest and it lit up my surrounding area like daylight, I could easily see details around our campsite. I shined it into the distance toward the beach and was shocked at how far it lit up the surroundings. In fact it was so bright another camper, who is also a hunter, came to ask me what brand it was. He ordered one on the spot. I'm sold. This is the only head lamp I'll use frim now on. It's also very comfortable. So long as it holds up as well as the other reviews say, I'm sure I'll have this one for a very long time. I'll update my review after I take it elk hunting in harsh conditions- there's no doubt in my mind though- that it won't let me down. Update: 9-15-15. Last night we were called to help my dad and his friend pack a nice bull elk out of the forest. It was daylight when we got there, however, once the elk was processed and loaded onto pack boards it was pitch black. We use game trails to navigate the area. But being dark, all out landmarks (the clear cut, swamp, mountain peak) were all cloaked in darkness. My dad and I (both having these lamps) placed ourselves at the head and then near the middle of the group- there were 6 of us. Everyone had headlamps but ours were by far the brightest. It lit up the area enough we were able to get ourselves out of the very dark woods (thick brush, downed trees, packing meat) with our lamps and a compass. I'm looking forward to using it in my elk season which is typically very wet, and in the late season when it is very cold. My lamp, at one point was ripped off my head alby a low hanging branch and fell, hard on the ground. Didn't phase the light at all. Two more people that were with us last night are going to be ordering these! And, you won't find better customer service if you ever need to contact them. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

Likes...1. power source - 3 AA batteries makes it very bright. Really bright. Also a long lasting power source, much better than rechargeables, especially since a spare set of batteries is very easy to carry.2. battery pack- batteries load in box on back of strap. They're out of the way of the lamp and balance the load very nicely, easy and comfortable to wear.3. Strap - easy to adjust, stays put, thanks to top strap. As comfortable as any other headlamp strap4. Very, very bright - gives you a nice feeling when you're out in those dark, spooky woods5. "zoom" beam works well, easy to adjust, from a wide field to focused beam.6. Low-level brightness for conserving batteries7. So far switch works great.Not So Crazy About...I'd be a little wary of its construction for heavy duty use, a lot of plastic. I don't think one would want this for pro use, like for a forest ranger or miner or something. But for the occasional camper or household/garage use, it's awesome. We're getting a second one.If anything goes south with its performance, we'll be back to share. Otherwise, no news is good news.

This light is by far the best I've put on. I use it every year for the past 8 years for hunting, camping and backpacking. I even use it when working on my vehicles. The focused light beam is amazing. I usually run it on low power until I need the high power for distance.The only reason this is not a 5 star is due to the loop that holds the straps in place is very weak. I had the reinforce one using PVC cut to fit and then glued in place, now I have to rework another one that broke.

The media could not be loaded. I love this headlamp. see the video we did too. I bought it for my brother who has his own construction company. He is always in there under kitchen sinks and houses and inspecting tiny spaces and tearing out walls and floors and having to see what's going on in cracks and tiny spaces etc I knew he would love it. I gave it to him and he did love it. He took it to the job site the next day. It is durable, the light in front it huge, the head straps are fully adjustable. The battery pack takes 3 AA batteries and is water tight. The actual head lamp does a full wide circle of very bright light, a circle of dimmer light and a flashing strobe light. It also bends down so that you can have it on your head and work on something with your hands and flood that area with bright light. If you pull on the head lamp you will see that the wide beam becomes a narrow beam. So there is a push in and pull out aspect to this as well. The company is great. The good reviews are true. I read the reviews and decided to go with this company. Happy I did. I asked my brother to take a video so I can show you all of this - I had to be the one doing the demo because he was too shy to get on camera. So he took the video. Neither one of us are pros at this - we just wanted to demonstrate how cool this thing is.
