Smells great. Good manly smell and not overpowering. I love Duke Cannon product and the support veterans.

This is the nicest cologne my husband owns and a fraction of the cost of some of his other options. If you like the Old Glory soap or the scent of leather, you’ll love this. The scent lasts all day too! It’s the first men’s solid cologne I’ve ever purchased so I wasn’t sure if my husband would like it, but he loves it! And the tin is super cool. The only thing I would change is a tighter fitting lid, because the sliding lid is super loose.

I stumbled onto these solid colognes a few years ago and they've been a travel companion ever since. There are various scents available and I definitely like the Old Glory scent. Basically this is a solid so its TSA friendly, the solid works well but it can be a little waxy when you apply it so be sure to rub it in. I will say that the scent isn't an all-day cologne, you'll have to reapply it but I think it works well. I gave it one star for packaging. The original version had a hinged lid which was much better than this sliding cover which I find slides off unexpectedly; its clearly a cost cutting measure. I think its a worthwhile travel companion that I use all the time.

"... not like Friday night on Fraternity row." So reads the tagline from Duke Cannon, and it's so true. This stuff smells great, especially paired with Buffalo Trace body wash and Leaf & Leather bar soap, both also from Duke Cannon. I've received many compliments on it, usually something to do with smelling like a cigar/pipe shop, but there's amber with leather and vanilla notes; a warm, inviting scent. It's easy to take along too, I've had bad experiences with cologne bottles breaking in luggage, and with this one you still want to be careful because the tin it comes in will bend and dent easily, but even in that case, it's solid cologne so it doesn't spill.

This smells the way you want it to smell, like a hardworking man ready to call it in for the night, very masculine and safe feeling. What do you feed a man that's been working for 18 hours plowing the fields? This is for the hardworking man.

I was hoping for an “old school leathery” smell and it is there. As a matter of fact I really like the scent. There is just one big issue for me: there is also a super intense sweet smell that totally overpowers everything else. When I take a sniff, I smell 20% of what I expect “old glory” to smell like and 80% of basically sweet bubblegum. My subjective 2 cents, but this scent is not for me. I had high hopes for it…

My wife loved the leather and leaf soap by Duke Canon. I use the soap before bed and… well guys let’s say it works.. problem is the soap’s scent doesn’t last very long- this stuff she said she can still smell on my when I get home and she loves it… so the cologne seems to last longer in a given day- smell wise, and lasts about 3x longer than the bar of soap. So, I have moved to a less expensive soap and doubled up on the cologne. That scent drives my girl absolutely wild!

Smells really good. Not too strong, just right. Lasts 6-8 hours. I would really score this a 4.5 if I could because the case sucks. They need a sealable case. That’s the only bad thing about it.

Great quality, great, long lasting scent. First time using a solid cologne, and it's pretty easy. No waste, cool packaging. Would like to try the Bourbon scent cologne but it's not easy to get in Canada and not provided by Amazon as far as I can tell. Please add the bourbon solid cologne on the Amazon website.

This is my second experience with a solid cologne. As someone that gets headaches from most "mainstream" spray cologne, I love the solid style. Good: value / size: I didn't read the description, but I expected to get less, it's a good size. Scent: I was initially a bit underwhelmed with the smell, but I've grown to really like it. One tweak I would like is a bit of a "sweet" note added, like vanilla or bourbon Bad: Tin: not really a big deal, but the tin didn't stay closed all that well. I bent it inward a little and it's better now. Colour: This is the worst part of the item, I don't know if it needs to be this yellow, but you can notice it on your skin , once rubbed in it mostly goes away, but I wish that it was more neutral I would be interested in trying other products from this brand in the future. I love the charity contribution.

A wonderful solid cologne. Exactly the scent it was looking for. Falling somewhere between a vintage smelling cologne and something more modern. Woodsy and smoky. Lasts the day but not overpowering. Truly unique. Get it!
