Q: Is the case water proof?

I would consider the case, water repellent. I wouldn't recommend submerging the case. It closes extremely tight, and it is plastic. I think it's the best I've ever had. Good Luck!

Probably because it is not water tight. I found it to be fine, it's under my truck on the frame. Holds just fine on good metal.
