Great Baster - Bought Two Different Ones - My Thoughts
I've never owned a baster, but always wanted one. Every time I needed one, I never had one handy and made a mental note to buy one the next time... but then I'd forget. This cycle has gone on for YEARS with my reminders occurring exactly during Thanksgiving/Christmas and that occasional time when I cook a turkey or some kind of roast outside of the holiday. So finally, I pulled the trigger... but not for reasons you'd expect. You see my wife wanted to own an aquarium in our home. Both of us have never owned an aquarium and for any of you who don't know about aquariums, they are expensive to start and require a decent amount of maintenance at first. Since we were both first timers, I suggested that she look at something easier (cheaper). I convinced her to get a betta fish instead (because that would save me at least $100). She obliged and we ended up with this w/ 2 betta fishes: Aqueon Aquarium Betta-Bow 2.5 Gallon Acrylic Aquarium Kit Since we owned this aquarium, I've learned that you need to clean up fish waste frequently. Due to the size of the aquarium, a regular water siphon was too big and removed water too quickly. So it was suggested to me by the PetSmart employee to get this: Hagen Marina Betta Waste Remover for Aquarium . I almost pulled the trigger but wanted to do more research. My research concluded that all this was... was an overpriced turkey baster. Why would I get a $10 turkey baster when I could get a real one for nearly half price? As I was shopping on Amazon, I found two cheaply priced turkey basters and decided to buy two of them. One for my aquarium and one for food. I opted for this one (the one I'm reviewing) and another Fox Run brand baster Fox Run Deluxe Baster because I thought it would be good to choose the "better" one for food and the other one for the aquarium. It ends up that I am using this baster for my aquarium. It's a little shorter than the other Fox run baster despite the same "fluid" ounce capacity. The temperature rating is 500F (100 degrees higher than the other one) but with an aquarium, the temperature doesn't matter since you're just sucking up food waste/blowing debris off rocks and other decorations. The fact that the bulb makes an airtight seal makes this a high quality baster. You don't want liquid to be leaking out from the bulb & shaft as you're picking up/pushing liquid out. Either way, both would be great in the kitchen but the reason I'm using it in my aquarium is mainly because the measurement label hard to see with the near-opaque baster shaft. I figured I'd want a baster with easier to read numbering in the kitchen. So that's why I'm using this one in my aquarium. Regardless, both are excellent basters and excellently priced. As for pricing, this one was $4.82 at the time of purchase and the Fox Run Deluxe Baster was $5.26 at time of purchase.

ArtBeck Rubber Replacement
I purchased this with hope it would fit my Vintage ArtBeck Baster when the Rubber Baster failed. This item worked! I just had to push it a little farther on to the glass. Trim off the edges of the rubber and you can store in lid and I was able to save the extra glass in my original packaging if my ArtBeck Baster.

Love the glass!
Ok, this isn't something needing review. The rubber seems durable, as does the glass. And--being glass--it handles hot grease better than plastic. (Yeah, I know, but plastic was what we had, LOL!) I put the glass part in the dishwasher on the "glasses spout," and it gets cleaned well. Recommended.

Working great.
I'm using it to transfer hot liquid between containers and it's held up well. Great Product.

it's a game-changer in the kitchen
The Fox Run Heat-Resistant Glass Baster, One Size, has been a total game-changer for my kitchen. After struggling with plastic basters that always seemed to fail me, this glass baster has been a breath of fresh air. It's a sturdy and reliable kitchen tool that consistently gets the job done. I no longer have to worry about basters going bad, melting, or losing suction at crucial moments. Plus, cleaning is a breeze, making it even more convenient. The suction power of this baster is impressive, ensuring that my culinary creations turn out just the way I want them to. If you've had your fair share of baster disasters, I highly recommend making the switch to the Fox Run Heat-Resistant Glass Baster; it's a game-changer in the kitchen.

Excellent quality. Firm seal and strong suction ...
This is a high quality bulb baster. I bought this because my last, pathetic (plastic) baster melted in the pan with the Christmas turkey while I was trying to figure out why there was no suction. This baster is marked in 1/2 oz. measurements on the side its very clear glass tube. The tip is tapered to keep too much of the juice from flowing out. And the bulb won't roll across the countertop and land on the floor. (And best of all it's NOT made in China.)

It works but it's thin
Worked well until I bumped the tip on the edge of my stainless sink while washing. This product does what it's intended for, but I wish it was a little thicker glass.... be very careful with it!

Good baster. It drips a bit when you fill it up to baste your roast but it's a quick trip from the juices to the meat so it's not a problem. LOVE the fact that it is glass and not plastic (with high heat!) or stainless steel (how can you tell if it's clean?)

Cumple con el propósito.

Works great. But gotta be fast. Else it leaks cause Bozeman is broad for liquid to spill cause of the weight it holds.

And finally I got fed up with the lack of suction. So as always for all things interesting and good, I found this baster. I never realized how much better a good baser could be. I love this little puppy and it does go into the dishwasher to rack so all the grease is well washed out. Has great suction and very sturdy. It was a bit pricey, but hopefully will last me even longer than the older plastic ones which likely weren't that safe to use.

I bought this and it’s great quality and great equipment ( I did not use it for turkey basting though 😉)
