Romans: Grace, Truth, and Redemption (MacArthur Bible Studies)

I can see ordering all of these over time! Very helpful questions and explanations, plus it includes the scripture right there! So although it's helpful to have your Bible handy, (especially to look up references made by author) u could also take this with you easily, w out lugging your Bible also. It's small enough to fit in most purses, and packed with really informative notes. Good buy, especially for a book like Romans, which is fairly intense and full of meaning not easily gleened by a non scholar.

I think of Romans like the tallest rock on the mountain that is the Bible. The other rocks are equally important, but Romans is so obvious and laid out bare for all to see. The truth made plain and still it blows your mind. How can God love such a wretched woman like me? Why be murdered for saying a dead guy is alive? Unless He was alive, and IS alive, and is interceding now for His children at the right hand of the Father. We can be loved by God because we’re covered by the righteousness of Christ. “Righteousness comes by God's grace alone, and faith in Christ alone brings redemption.” Turn from your sin. Repent. Accept the free gift. It is free to you, but it wasn’t free for Him. You have been bought with a price. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is God.

Great book from the best author

Excellent and biblical

The book is basically the chapters of Romans reprinted. The discussion questions are very useless and vague. There are few “definitions “ on the sides of the pages but they are not helpful at all. Very juvenile.
