Medelco 4 Cup Glass Universal Replacement Carafe - White

i have bought two of these replacement carafes for 2 different 4 cup Braun coffee makers. i am glad i didn't listen to the reviews about them leaking. They don't. They do have a narrow spout so that if you try to go all out when you pour, the coffee will pour over the side of the spout. But, if you take it easy when you pour, it will be fine. The original carafes did the same thing. As for sizing, they are a little snugger than the original, but function perfectly. I wouldn't have bought them twice if i wasn't happy.Also, i am not sure if i bought from the same seller both times but they package them very well and they arrived so quickly i thought they must have gotten in their car and drove them to me.

I already cracked two four-cup Mr. Coffee carafes in the same place -- on the upper rim, just above the metal ring that attaches to the handle. I was happy to find this replacement Medelco carafe at one-third the price of the original. As other customers have said, the design is such that you must pour slowly so as not to spill the contents of the carafe. I don't mind that aspect at all, because I actually think that the Medelco design is much better than the Mr. Coffee design. That's because the Medelco glass rim is covered by the entire plastic top of the carafe. That eliminates the exposed rim, even though it means that you have to pour the contents out more slowly. The Medelco is well worth the money!

I found this replacement carafe for my Mr. Coffee 4-cup coffee maker. All in all, it does a great job. My only complaint is that the handle is very small. I can't get my hand into it to pour the coffee. Only two of my fingers will fit inside to grip the handle. Other than that it is fine.

This is ALMOST a perfect fit for my Braun 4 cup coffee maker. It comes with some adapters for bigger coffee makers. The Braun four cup doesn't need the adapters. Mine is the KF-12 model.I've attached photos to show the pot in the machine, next to the original pot (which has a black lid, the product I'm reviewing has the white lid). The last photo is of the pack of the packaging that lists the machines that it is compatible with.The only slight issue I have is that the "pause and pour" mechanism, which allows you to remove the coffee pot to pour yourself some coffee while the machine is still dripping, makes the fit a bit tight because this product is about 1/8" (2mm) taller than the original and the "pause and pour" mechanism pushes on the lid quite tight. This is not a fault of the pot, it's just how it fits in this particular coffee maker. It does fit and work though.One more thing is that I find is that you have to pour slowly from this pot because the spout is so shallow, but the original pot had this tendency as well. Opening up the lid helps with no-spill pouring.Overall though, this was exactly what I needed to get my coffee pot back up and running after someone broke the pot.Hope this helps someone with the same coffee maker!

My parents bought a coffee machine for me in 1998. About a decade later, my husband broke the carafe it came with, but it was easy to buy a replacement. A decade after that, my son broke that carafe. That particular coffee maker was no longer made, and to buy a new one of the same brand it was the same price as buying three new coffee makers. I don't want a new coffee maker because the 20 year old one works fine (and I want to find out how long it will last.) Then I found this one.I came with two different lids, so no matter which kind of 4 cup machine you have, it will work. It fits my Mr. Coffee perfectly, and it was much less expensive than buying a Mr. Coffee carafe online. It is easy to clean and the lid easily comes off for a more thorough cleaning.I do have one problem with it. When I was reading reviews there were a lot of people complaining about spilling the coffee when trying to pour it. I thought, "Why are so many people spilling their coffee? How hard can it be to pour your coffee into a mug? Just take your time. Pour slowly." As it turns out, it is very hard. Something about the design makes coffee spills inevitable. After wiping up a lot of coffee from the floor and the counter, I've learned to always pour over the sink.
