Works ok on my kit

I did not find this product very well designed. It only has one lug to attach to the drum. The lug spacer they provide is too high and makes it sit about 10mm above the hoop. There's a cutout for the hoop on the wood that doesn't work well because it doesn't even touch the hoop. It doesn't sit evenly and can move back and forth. Puts a lot of stress on a single lug of the drum. The only way I could get any kind of sound out of it was to hit directly over the lug. I would imagine over time this is bad for the drum. Maybe I got such a weak sound because I am using a 10” snare, but I still am not crazy about the design. That being said, customer service of this company is above and beyond nearly any company I’ve encountered. After my first bad review, they personally reached out to me, apologized for my experience and offered a full refund. Maybe it will work good for you if you use a bigger snare and tune your drum pretty high.

I thought that my kit was complete, but this rimshot is a very nice addition. I’m playing a few Doors songs and this is a must have. It’s so much easier to play consistent and loud rimshots to cut through the music. Recommended!

I was looking for a boost to my cross stick sound(the snare drum rim wasn't cutting it) and found this little gem - attaches easily, not in the way at all, and makes an excellent cross sticking sound (nice and fat with the butt of the stick). I couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase.

The tension rod included with the Rim Riser was a bit short. After contacting them, they promptly sent the right part. Amazing service for an excellent product!
