Great for a clothes line
I got sick of the clothes line being in my way so I put this on it and the wife is very happy with it, no more 4x2 holding it up,

Handy and affordable but can get 'tangled'
Made life so much easier lifting a large heavy boulder from the bottom of the garden. The only 'snag' was that it was prone to getting in a mess when you began to turn the handle to wind the metal rope wire back in. Took a bit of time and patience afterwards to sort this out. Had to take the handle off and unwrap the whole lot to put it back into order again.

Missing part
The handle is missing from this? I have been in touch with the manufacturer they said that this is oldest winch they have & that they no longer have spare parts for this why sell it if you don't have spares for it I won't send it back as it's so much hassle it's all about give me your money for nothing in return will not buy from seller again

Tangled
The winch was tangled when it arrived. I tried a couple of times to rewind it, but it just got tangled again and would lock up.

About this item• The Einhell tc-wi 500 hoist has a maximum bearing force of 500 kgThis item is described as a hoist. The word ‘hoist’ means to lift or raise. In the instructions which come with it it says the winch must NOT be used for lifting loads, but only for pulling. The product description is misleading. For this reason I have given only one star.

Tangles up
It did work but it tangles up so easily that it is pretty unusable. Untangled it a few times but is completely jammed up now.

Perfect for what I needed.
I bought the winch to use on a clothes line. The winch was easy to fit and does the job great. I had to shorten the wire as I was not pulling over a long distance.Overall very happy with my purchase.
