I’m very happy with this DRILAX diamond drill bit set. The case arrived well-packaged, and the bits were neatly organized and clearly labeled by size (1mm, 2mm, and 3mm). The diamond coating looks even and well-applied, with no visible defects.I used these on glass and ceramic, following the instructions to start at an angle and use water, and they performed exactly as expected. The bits cut cleanly without chipping, and none of them overheated or lost their grit during use. I’m really happy with the Drilax Diamond Drill Bits set. The variety of sizes is perfect, especially for detailed work, and everything arrived exactly as described. I used them on glass and small stones, and they cut cleanly without chipping when used with light pressure. The bits feel solid and well made, not flimsy or disposable like some other sets I’ve tried. They’re also very easy to use, even if you’re newer to jewelry making or lapidary work. The 1/8 inch shank fits my Dremel perfectly, and the bits stay secure while drilling. With a little water for cooling, they perform smoothly and consistently. I use the 2mm bits for drilling holes in tumbled stones and carving into tumbled stones. They work great and I get 3-7 stones per bit depending on the hardness of the stone. Harder stones take 2-10 minutes of drilling and may require a fresh bit (for very hard stones like carnelian), while the bits cut through softer stones such as jade like butter even after going through 3-4 other stones.Once the bits are no longer suitable for drilling, I use them to carve designs into the stones. I get 10-20 carvings out of a used bit.The 1 mm drill holes well, however, they don't have enough "bite" to carve well in the harder stones, even when unused.I have not had any use for the 3mm bits, but I would assume they function as well as their counterparts.This is a very good buy for the price for my purposes. The 2mm bits get 5 stars, while the 1mm get 3, leading to a 4 star review. I do wish i could buy a pack of 30 2mm instead of the variety.

Bits work well for drilling holes in stained glass. They wear out faster than others Ive used but they come in a nice big pack! Great price and value.

New Review:After more attempts and talking to a professional glass worker I have discovered the trick to drilling through glass with these.Set the drill to the maximum speed possible. A Dremmel tool might not be at the fastest speed setting because it is faster than a drill.Firmly anchor the glass and the drill. The glass should be on a flat wood surface. Lubricate the glass surface with water. Slowly bring the drill to the surface of the glass. Do not apply any pressure. You should be supporting most of the weight of the drill.Initially the water lubricant will turn black. For most diamond drill bits this would mean that they are broken. For this set, it does not mean they are broken. I think the diamonds are coated with a thin layer of titanium or steel that is rubbing off.Replace lubricant every few minutes. After a few replacements it will turn white with drilling instead of black. The drill will drill faster.After you are halfway through, turn the glass over and drill from the other side.It takes about 10-30 minutes to drill through 2mm of glass.This is pretty slow, but it is in my price range so that is what matters in the end.Old Review:I bought these to use to cut FTO coated float glass. The instructions for using diamond drill bits are to use a low rotation speed, and apply only 8-16 pounds of pressure. Using a drill press I was not able to drill through glass using only 16 pounds of pressure, the bit never made it past the surface. When I applied more pressure the diamonds broke off from the surface and acted as a grit to abrade the surface. This did allow the drill to bite into the glass, but it took a very long time (about 15 minutes when higher quality products only take 3) at high pressure and RPM to drill through the glass. Unfortunately this amount of pressure also caused chipping around the edges of the hole and blowout at the other end of the hole, creating an ugly break cone. Each bit could only drill one hole this way before being discarded. Some bits snapped before they drilled through the glass. This product is useless to me.It is possible that these bits could cut into softer stone or sea glass, but for float glass it does not work.

exactly what I needed for a home project I am working on. Price is reasonable, it comes in a nice carrying case that fits well with my other dremel equipment. Will purchase from drilax again

Take your time, start at an angle and then vertically and keep it wet, we drilled in dish of shallow water. Took about 10 mins to go through 4mm of glass, could have been quicker but didn’t want to apply too much pressure .
