250 Pack Agave Fiber Straws Unwrapped Bio Preferred, Eco-Friendly Alternative to Plastic & Paper Straws, Plant Based

We all know that plastic straws are terrible for the environment. But also....I hate the feel of paper straws disintegrating in my mouth. And I hate the feel of metal straws, and I don't trust that they're ever getting fully clean. Silicone straws taste weird, and are too thick. I'm picky, OK?? BUT THESE. These are perfect. Basically the feel of a plastic straw - sturdy, thin. And you can toss it knowing that it's fully biodegradable. I don't use straws every day, so the investment in having a big package of these on hand is well worth it to me.

I own a restaurant and for over a decade I have been searching for a decent straw as we don't use plastic. I used metal, Aardvark paper and hay but nothing gave that mouthfeel people crave. A friend got me some of these for Christmas and I LOVE then. (The first thing I did was throw one in a glass of water for a few days, no problem). Now there are many plastic corn biodegradable straws out there but they have to be composted in very specific conditions. In the wild they would take a century to degrade. Too long in my book. These agave straws in the wild or a land fill will degrade in 5 years, not perfect but way ahead of corn plastic products. I actually bought these for the restaurant on Amazon because the manufacturer was out. I was pleased that the price point was pretty much where it would have been had I bought them wholesale. Anyway, we have a ways to go as far as sustainable single use products but right now, in 2021, this is about as close as you are gonna get. My customers love them too.

Our local Mexican restaurants uses these straws and we just loved them. Biodegradable and with pretty texture, our favorite straws.

These are really nice and inexpensive. Not individually wrapped, so environmentally friendly, but you need something to carry them in. Great alternative to paper and plastic straws.

Taste so good and clean, better than a plastic or metal straw

I can’t stand using paper straws. These straws are great for theme parks and are supposedly good for the environment. The straws feel like normal plastic straws and they don’t dissolve like paper straws. They are skinny, so they cannot be used for drinks with boba.

Not this time… I’ve purchased these before and love agave straws typically, as they eventually are biodegradable but not while in your drink, and don’t compromise the flavor. This purchase was loose straws thrown into an Amazon mailing package. Gross. Look for an alternative that does include packaging.
