The thermal fuse went out on our kitchenaid wall oven which caused the panel to not work. Safety feature to protect panel if oven gets to hot. I researched on youtube to determine what was going on. Quickly found problem and solution. Orderd this thermal fuse.The thermal fuse arrived exactly as projected. The product was easy to install and has been working as supposed to. The price was reasonable. It was extremely easy to remove the bad part and replace with this product. Doing this myself saved me $100-$150 minimum. Appliance service calls are a minimum of $90 for a quote and always involves a return as the part has to be ordered. Oven was only non functional for 5 days as opposed to 8 to 12 days. And as stated the bill would have been much more than the cost of this product.Anybody with minimal knowledge can change this part. It took me less than 30 minutes to remove and replace. That time included watching 5 or 6 minute youtube video. Six screws, six plug connectors is all. Nothing can be plugged in wrong as the connectors only go where they go. No Brainer. I recommend this product.

Pleasantly surprised to see that this was indeed a genuine Whirlpool part and not an aftermarket replacement. Works as expected and I've got the oven heating up for a pizza as I type this.If your Whirlpool (or made by Whirlpool, like Ikea) oven has suddenly stopped working and you have no display or power, the overwhelming odds are that this guy is at fault.It's a fifteen minute job to go to your breaker and shut off power to the oven, then undo the oven mounting screws, slide the oven out enough from the wall to access the handful of control panel screws, and then get the front control panel off. Then you can use a multimeter to see if your current fuse is blown, and if it is, it's just a matter of pulling the connectors and squeezing the tabs to remove the old one, then put this in its place.Super easy DIY job and you'll feel like a champ for not calling an appliance repair man and then paying a $100 diagnostic fee, $50 for the part, and then another $50 for them to come back and install it.

This part works as expected. I worried at the time I received it because it is in a plastic bag, not even in a protective hard box.

The lights went out on the control panel on our high-end Kitchenaid wall oven last weekend. In fact, there was no power to the unit, as the interior light would not come on when I opened the oven door. I flipped the breaker and waited a few minutes before restoring power, but that didn't reset the oven. I then researched the issue online and found that it could be anything from a faulty thermal fuse to a dead control panel. I priced out new motherboards and control panels and had determined that it would be better to buy a new oven than to replace them. Then I found a YouTube showing how easy it is to locate and test the thermal fuse, so I tried that. A friend with a meter helped me verify that the fuse was dead. I ordered this replacement, installed it in a minute and everything is back to normal! I was honestly resolved to having to spend over $1,000 to either replace or repair my oven, but all I needed was this $20 thermal fuse!Advice based on my research - don't open your oven door to help speed the cool down period. It is suspected by many that this causes the hot (and often moist) air to escape up by (and behind) the control panel and the thermal fuse. This may have been the reason it went out. Instead, keep the door closed and the oven releases the heat via a vent below the door, as it was designed to do.

10/10 would recommend. Original Whirlpool part. Perfect fit.

Worked as advertised. Replaced the old faulty part perfectly. Oven is up and running again in less than 20 minutes.

I was unable to find this product at any local appliance parts store, but found it on Amazon

It works fine, no easy to install, have to take the oven out.
