The book is straightforward. It provides one quick example at the beginning of each type of exercise and then it dives directly into the questions. The font is large so my kid was not intimidated when he saw it, which was a plus. It comes with an answer key.

It’s good. But it’s not 4 grade level looks like 2 or 3 grade level only.

Good to see the type of questions that our child was experiencing on the public school test. Helps to study and encourage more learning while reading. Surprised by how much the kids are learning!

This book isn't full of errors which is a big complaint of other such books. My only complaint is that they use images that are "shaded" and this shading is so light as to be imperceptible to not just my old eyes but to my 10 y.o. too. This is REALLY frustrating for him as he tries to figure out the answers and the distinction between white and extremely light gray. I'm trying another brand.

This workbook is a reliable source for CoGAT test preparation. I would certainly recommend this workbook for 4th grade Gifted and Talented students. The book contains a total of 176 CoGAT practice questions which cover a variety of testing areas. Such as figure matrices, paper folding, number analogies, number series and puzzles, verbal classification, and sentence completion.Although this workbook is great, essentially it doesn’t provide enough practice. We chose to use an educational website called Beestar for additional support. The website offers a gifted and talented program that contains content that happens to be very similar to the actual tests. The program has been very beneficial for my children. I recommend using both quality workbooks like this one and the following website to help prepare your gifted student.

There were lots of misspell words and the shaded structures and shapes were extremely light. It almost looks like white instead of a gray shade.

I'd recommend this book as it helped my kid get a high score in CCAT (Canada equivalent to COGAT).

This is an helpful book for introduction to CCAT new users yet a bit pricey given the amounts of exercise provided. I would expect more exercise questions to be providing in this book, that's why I have 4 starts rating.
