Seems fairly well built. Easy to fill with butane. You’ll need to use two hands to ignite the torch. I’d rather have a better/separate lock button. It’s integrated with the flow knob, and can be a little hard to operate. The torch burns fine once you’ve got it on. I’ve used it for Sous vide searing. Though for the time it takes to torch the meat I might as well use a broiler.

I was excited my torch arrived over the weekend. I promised to have a fire on the beach so my kids could roast marshmallows, since the weather did not go as planned we used the torch to roast the marshmallows instead. It was fun and the torch worked very well. I am looking forward to using it in other ways as well. I would recommend this torch to anyone who is looking. My sister purchased a more expensive torch at a local store and so far mine seems to be a lot better quality.

This torch is a definite keeper in my kitchen. I won't post any pictures since it would be redundant, as there are several that have already been posted. The packaging was sufficient and the directions were simple and to the point. I bought this item along with a set of Norpro ramekins. I was super excited to try this out, as I have been wanting to make creme brulee. I was surprised at how well the torch lit and how consistent the flame stayed on. I did have some difficulty figuring out the best way to use it on the sugar, but will most likely find something on you tube. When I had the flame directly above the sugar, the flame went out.If I had the flame at an angle, I had no issues, I am assuming this is a safety factor. Although the base is stable, it might be an issue as it is made of plastic and would compromise the stability of the unit if it broke. Even though I purchased this torch with a coupon that gave me a discount on it as long as I provided an objective opinion, it is worth the full price.

I received this a couple days ago, after going out and buying some butane fuel i came home to test it out. I bought the zippo brand fuel which has a nice long fill tip, it made it easy to fill because the fill port was recessed in, a shorter tip wouldn't have worked so well. I got it works great for creme brulee. I would recommend this torch to anyone.i got this product at a reduced price.

Pretty awesome torch! It does not come with any butane, so make sure you order some. I've been wanting to get one of these to help light hookah coals. It works great! The knob can adjust the size of the flame, then clicks and locks in the "off" position to help prevent it from accidentally leaking or children from turning it on.
