The most exquisite book I've ever seen!
I first saw this masterpiece in an airport and it was so stunning, that I had to return and go through a few pages. The Gita is a classic of Indian Literature, and at the heart of the ancient Indian epic, the Mahabharata. I do not wish to, no could I elucidate now, the true message of the Gita, This is about this physical book, not about the contents, though the message in it, is famous worldwide and quite sublimeThe Book is hardcover, made with exceedingly fine paper, each page, gilt-edged. The pages are thick and embossed and each page contains one verse from the Gita, each verse is printed in three languages: Hindi, Sanskrit and in English. There is an explanation of each verse. Some pages are adorned with really lovely paintings of the scenes from the Mahabharata. The pages are a delight to touch, I never held a book that felt so good! The hard cover is exquisite and edged in metal, with 5 tastefully located Swarovski crystals adorning the pictures of a bow.. not tacky at all.. and they even provide spare crystals in case the originals fall offThe white-covered hardcover book is exquisite in itself, yet they did not neglect the case, a hard, protective gilded red and black case, with a metal latch to protect the book. Then there is a hardwood stand to seat all of this, and this too, shows Nightingale's attention to detail, as it has a central chariot wheel design..and as the Gita is a discourse of right, wrong, and of duty and Karma, from Lord Krishna to Arjuna, while on his chariot, this touch is especially beautiful and significant. To top it all off, they have enclosed a laser cut, gold plated bookmark with Krishna's face on itI have never seen such a lovely and luxurious book. Perhaps it is too much, as the subject contained is the Gita, and the Gita asks you to not put much stock in the material world, that actions are not for the fruit of the actions, but I digress, it is a fantastic work of art, containing a very deep messageNow, as to the cost: INR 35K The cost seems quite high, but, when you consider that this is the price of a decent smartphone- or half the price of a top end one , one that would last for 2-3 years and then be recycled, while this book will be a treasure for generations..It seems well worth the cost.If you are Hindu, or if you wish to gift a Hindu, this is a magnificent gift.If you follow another religion, the message in the book and the history of this message, still make the read worthwhileIf you are atheistic/ agnostic, the message still has the same depth and power, but just buying it for the value as a work of art is more than adequately satisfying

Simply Superb
The quality of pages print and the paintings are simply superb. This is not easy to carry as it is very heavy. The book marker having peacock feather is made of metal, the edges are sharp so be careful while handling. Packing is very good the stand I sturdy enough and is perfect. Though expensive but it is worth.

Amazing how beautiful the book is......top class materials used and the content needless to say is timeless....I read a review where the reviewer mentioned that considering the cost of a decent mobile which we might use for 3-4 years is at least 30-35K....This Treasure for 36K is a steal....it deserves to be part of every family heirloom and every home ....in this fast paced life going back to our roots is the need of the hour....this book is the best and most beautiful step towards that goal.....Please look at the Picture of the first Sloka i read when i opened the book for the first time.....Beauty...Sublime Beauty

Which edition? 1st is good value but 2nd is not
If this is the 1st edition, 2015, then price is well worth the asking because it is such a beautiful book. But beware because the publisher has released a 2nd edition in 2017 for the same price. It is unclear if this is the 1st or 2nd edition. I would not pay this price for a 2nd edition. Perhaps Amazon can be more clear which edition is this book?
