It's a beautiful product but I am having problems using it with our Motorola radios. It needs to be programmed

Works great and Kenwood quality. Analog max is 1 mile. Several channels work at that range with heavy static, but discernable voice.

Bought 3, 2 worked initially but stopped working after about 3 weeks. The 3rd was still in the box and had the same issue as the first 2. Basically, when turning on, a blue and yellow light flashes with just a sound.Called several numbers and even took it to a shop that deals with these, with no success. Called Kenwood again and they walked us through a reset but didn't work, Kenwood rep said they are defective.
