I have now purchased Maxi Fiber 13 times. I find it to be just a touch easier on my than straight Psyllium. I think it could be the enzyme base that is used in the Maxi Fiber and the inclusion of Flaxseed. In addition to the other benefits of Flaxseed, my research indicates that Flaxseed adds some softness to the stool. EnzyMax in the base includes: calcium carbonate, bromelain, papain, lipase, amylase, protease, and silica. I believe this helps keep some of the unfortunate effects of fiber under control.The negative comments about there not being much fiber in these is off-base. The reason why is that it has as much or more fiber as the straight Psyllium capsules such as the Now Brand (that does not also have the Flax and Enzymes). Just compare the labels and make sure you divide out to compare the fiber contents of a single capsule of each. My theory here is that people look at the percentage of daily fiber and get discouraged, yet with these types of supplements, a few capsules has a very positive impact on your regularity. I would not have bought this 13 times if this were not true.

I can’t believe that there is only 1g of fiber (4% of your daily value) in 2 pills. If you’re trying to add an extra 5g of fiber that’s 10 PILLS A DAY! Ridiculous.

The fiber supplement works very well for me. I have used it for about a year now.I give it a five star rating.
