Unbelievable product... way better than I ever imagined
I was looking to buy my first drone for a bit of fun leisure flying it and also having a go at doing some video and camers work from a different view point to complement my photography hobby. I researched the DJI Mini 2 out on the web and having read up and watched loads of reports and YouTube videos on the Mavic mini 2 drone and I decided it looked to be perfect for everything I was looking for. Next day delivery of the Mini 2 and I was totally blown away by this device. It turned out that this little drone is way beyond anything I could have wished for in both its quality, features and capabilities and how porfessional it is. it basically flys itself and its just so easy to operate and unlike what I imagined a toy drone would be like, this Mini 2 has all the bult in safety features to make flying it so easy. its really unbelievable in what it can do, it really is so clever and basically fail safe to fly and the 4K video and camera photos from it are amazing. I'm so pleased I paid the extra for the Fly More Kit though as its well worth it for the extra batteries, charging unit extra props and case etc. I'm so pleased with this purchase and will be having many, many hours of fun with this product. As with any responsible drone pilot, you do have to get the nessessary requirements with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to fly legally and get an official Operators ID. This is easily done online for a £9 registration fee and only takes a couple of minutes on line to register your device and get your Operator ID mailed straight back to you so that you can flying legally. On the CAA website there is also optional free online test to get a Flyers ID and although this is not needed for a sub 250g drone, its basically a 40 question online test in which you need to get at least 30 correct to pass. Everything you need to pass is there to read before or even at the same time as doing the test, you just have to select the correct choice answer, its certainly not hard and the answers are basically common sense. it is well worth the effort as it also lets you better understand 'The Drone Code' and be able to fly resonsibly so I am now fully registered to fly it through the CAA and cant wait to take to the skys :) It was available a little cheaper elsewhere on line but I have always trusted Amazon and had there been any issues its reasuring to have Amazon support there to resolve any concerns without any hassle. Thank you Amazon.

Amazing drone for beginners!
This drone was amazing to use as a complete beginner. It's not too expensive (I paid £550 for it 2 years ago), and have managed to use it on 6 holidays (Taiwan, Malta, Albania, Cyprus, Scotland, South Korea) to assist in creating videos for my YouTube channel (same as my Amazon username if you'd like to check out the clips). It's a nice small, portable drone which is able to fit inside carry on luggage and meets all requirements to be transported on flights, as well as not requiring a drone licence in most countries. Not very loud at all, it has amazing strength in strong winds and rain on mountain peaks. I really did put this drone through a lot of challenges. I even flew it to a waterfall, however it did crash after it flew into a spiders web that I could not see, and I had to jump in after it. I thought it was a goner, but the drone is actually waterproof - it still worked afterwards and I was able to continue using it for the 5 holidays afterwards. The app makes using this drone extremely easy, and the batteries last a very long time. They do take a while to charge, but it's okay if you time it right and charge overnight. I have recently bought the DJI Mini 4 Pro as I am a more confident flyer, but I must say, the landing mechanisms on the DJI Mini 2 are far better than the Mini 4. If you want the Mini 2 to land somewhere, it will land no problems, the Mini 4 Pro just hovers and refuses to land, even if it's safe to do so. The Mini 2 is an amazing drone for beginners, and I can't recommend it enough to anyone who wants to get into flying and adding a little more magic to their holiday memories.

Unbelievable drone for the money!
I was really unsure which drone to but because there's so much choice out there. After a lot of research & joining a couple of drone groups on facebook to ask questions, I decided to buy the DJI mini 2se with the flymore combo. I wasn't disappointed, what a fantastic drone! So easy to fly & the camera & video quality is really good. It's very stable in mild winds too. It's definitely worth getting the flymore combo too, 3 batteries instead of 2 means plenty of flying time, there's a multi charger to charge all 3 batteries together, spare prop blades & a nice bag to keep everything safe. It has some great camera features, such as drone, rocket, circle, etc for the video & panoramic, sphere, etc for the camera. Watch a few videos on YouTube about it first & you'll see what it can do.... It's fantastic! Make sure that you get your operators id before flying it, it's just over £10 for the year, I did the flyer id at the same time, didn't need to but it's free & lasts for 5yrs. Also, check out the dji insurances on their website, just incase! I would definitely recommend the drone, 100%.

A Cracking UAV
I have just completed my UK A2 Certificate of Competence, and was looking for anotherf drone to supplement my Mavic Air 1. As C2 category craft are some way off market (if they are ever produced), there was no benefit in buying something that would be so restrictive to fly after 2022, so I looked at the Mini 2. This functions under the A1 category, so can be used for flights over "Uninvolved People", making flght planning a cinch. I took the plunge and bought the Fly More Combo. The first thing to say is that the DJI Go app that is needed for the Mini 2 does not work with all phones; certainly not with my Motorola E4+. There was no way to check compatibility ahead of trying to load the app (my MA1 uses DJI Go 4 which works with the E4+). I was about to return the drone to Amazon, as it was not fit for my purpose; paying £550 for a drone which cannot be flown without buying a new phone is hardly attractive. However, my phone was out of contract, so I looked at a new one, settling on the OnePlus Nord 100, which Three assured me would work. I therefore got the new phone, and kept the drone. A raelly good choice. The Mini 2 is fantastic, particularly with the Fly More Combo; it all comes in a small case that holds everything; much better thought-out than the MA1. At under 250 grammes, it is not only very portable, but gets into the vital A1 category, so isn't, and won't be, limited to the "Legacy" category in 2023. In particular, I can fly it legally from my back garden and over the village (after having cleared it with the control tower of my local RAF airfield; I'm just within the FRZ). For the size, it flies brilliantly (so long as you do not try to fly when the wind is gusting over 22 knots, Force 5 - quite a breeze). It responds very well to controls, and the video quality is excellent, particularly in Cine mode. I'm looking forward to taking it on my travels at home and abroad when lockdown finishes; it is so easy to pack in with my camera equipment. My recommendation? If you're in the UK, and want a drone that won't become obsolete in 18 months get a Mini 2; you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic beginner drone
I use a Mavic 2 Pro at work and really wanted something to fly and take photos when I was at home too, I can't afford a Mavic 2 Pro so the Mini 2 was the logical cheaper choice. There's another very important reason I chose this drone: its weight. At under 250g it's light enough that you can pretty much fly it anywhere, including over people! (Not crowds though.) As long as you're sensible and consider where you're flying you don't need to stay more than 150m away from congested areas, check an app like Drone Assist to make sure you're not flying in restricted areas. It handles like a dream, it can still function in quite high winds and it's really easy to carry and deploy. From getting out the drone to getting it in the sky is around 2 minutes as long as you have enough satellites. The images and video are REALLY good. I would suggest taking some time to get used to the manual settings and play about to get the best out of your drone. I have bought some ND filters and whilst they DO help, they are not necessary. I quite often forget to put one on and the pictures I get are still great. I am more than happy with my Mini 2. If you are considering buying one you MUST get the "fly more" version. If you get just the standard version you will regret it as soon as that first battery runs out! Battery life is around 20-25 minutes most of the time, it depends how far you fly, how strong the wind is etc. Quick shots - programmable shots that circle a point of interest or fly straight up in the air etc. Fun ways of getting really good video footage that don't need the dexterity of a Rubik's cube champion to do. If you're on the fence about spending a few hundred quid on a cheaper competitor drone my advice would be to spend the extra and get this. Its superior in every way to the £150-200 "copies".

This is THE one to go for, for most people without doubt!
The main thing to take into consideration is the new legislation regarding drones. The Mini 2 gives you so much more freedom for flying and, in that respect, it delivers, Wow! I know the Mavic Air 2 is highly rated overall by just about all reviews you'll see but, there's added restrictions involved, not to mention the added cost. Obviously, it depends on your individual requirements and whether you intend to take the courses to qualify for more advanced flying and/or heavier drones. Anyway, back to the Mini 2. It is definitely worth investing in the fly more combo. It provides you with all you need in the amateur/hobbyist sense. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase, all things considered. The app. works with no problems at all (I have it installed on Galaxy S10 and the older S7 which I'm using as a dedicated monitor with the controller, that way I can keep the S10 free for checking NATS Drone Assist or Flight Radar 24 if need be). The Mini 2 is a magical little machine. You can't be disappointed with it, not at this price and with the results it gives you. Sure, it doesn't have some of the features you might like to have i.e. all round sensors for collision avoidance but, it all comes back to The Drone Code and regulations which in my mind makes this a no-brainer as a choice. Due to the current ongoing lockdown situation, I've only been able to fly from my back garden which I can do legally with this drone, following the D.C. of course. So far, I've just tried out 4K and 1080 res. and both are impressive, to say the least. There's plenty of manual settings for iso etc. should the situation require adjustment. I'm so looking forward to be able to get out and about with this dream machine. The stability of the image from the gimbal is brilliant. I could go on and on. I will post a short clip here once I purposefully film a short clip for including in a review like this. I only occasionally post reviews on Amazon but, after 3 weeks of ownership, I felt compelled to give the Mini 2 a shout out about. This clip isn't especially for the review itself as I haven't done any aimed for adding to the review on here. It's obviously not edited but, it does show off some of the quality you can get at this price/spec. bracket. This was the first time I had been out further afield to practice with it, last Sept. 2021. Needless to say, I wouldn't look at anything else as an alternative in it's class after a year of ownership. A ridiculously great drone!!

Great little piece of kit
Overall, this is a great little piece of kit. It feels quite robust for a small entry-level drone. Picture quality is excellent and the fly more extras, batteries are a brilliant addition. However, there some things you should know... The gimbal can be temperamental, as I discovered when a calibration warning persisted, resulting in me having to send it back under the DJIcare warranty. I consider myself a careful owner too. I would wholeheartedly recommend DJIcare after my experience. It was repaired and returned quickly and was updated every step of the way. ND filters are a must for bright conditions, so prepare yourself for another purchase, and make sure they’re on properly. I’ve lost two already. Using an iPhone with the controller is really terrible, especially in sunny conditions. The screen is simply not bright enough regardless of any third-party covers or hoods and it’s really hard to see what you’re capturing until post processing. Not ideal for a drone with no crash sensors. A black umbrella can help but it’s still not ideal, so find a shaded area if possible. Make sure you keep the controller in visible range and pointed in the general direction of the drone during flight. Any buildings or obstacles can cause it to disconnect and that can be quite scary.

Galaxy class drone
This is a brilliant drone full stop I lost my last drone a ZLL SG906 MAX at arnside Cumbria lost connection and RTH failed so upgraded to mini 2...im not a pedantic critic after all it was a cheaper first outdoor drone but the mini 2 is amazing the picture quality is a big step up the agility is unbelievable it turns on a sixpence the lock between controller and drone is rock solid and it's behavior when given commands are both instant and intuitive I fly for fun and the footage is a bonus I'm not critical of its camera I know the bigger DJI drones have better camera...oh boy can this drone shift in the air it's fun personified indeed the stored flight data is amazing all the telemetry recorded I've got care refresh toothe app is easy to use and full screen footage is seen...I've bought a hard case for it so if at beach will use that... love it's power in the air despite its small structure I mean it's fast 16mps my last one was 12...and turned awkwardly this one well it just corners in a second... dont think I will upgrade to the bigger DJI as they more limited due to weight where u can fly them but at 249g the mini has the most scope and freed to fly in short BUY it 👍🚀
