Works well
This is great for a sectional couch that we had 2 pulls that had been broken for what I'm embarrassed to say was years. It took me a whopping 10 minutes to repair these with this pull. I even reused the screws that were in the broken one. Make sure to properly measure the distance between the "s" section of the end portion to where the wire ceases to be exposed by the black cover on one end. Not all sections of the sectional had the same distance and I had to order another one. This will save you some headache later. If you have the right length, installation is rather simple from there. I left off the last star because the online instructions are rather vague on how to and the importance of measuring this. Also, this handle seems much more durable than the initial ones that came with our couch. Very satisfied!

Works as advertised, my wife is happy once again...
This cable was the shortest one I could find with s-hook at 3" exposed cable with a d-handle, it still was 6" to long for my Lane sectional couch. I wish it was at least 4" inches shorter, the cable is a little exposed in the front of the recliner. But it does work as expected. Don't let other sellers tell you length doesn't matter it does especially if the excess cable comes out of the front of couch. Part is made well, i would buy again...

didnt work so well for my emerald home furnishing couch
the product works well and it the perfect length if the sheathing wasn't so long. the placement of the clip didn't allow it to work with my specific emerald home furnishing couch. my husband was able to modify it to make it work since we have tried a few others from different sources and had similar problems. overall we loved this one other the others because of the protective shield over the wire next to the pull handle this is where our original one broke. the shipping was in the minimum time expected it came in a bubble pack to ensure that there was no damage.

Fits well and works. We needed to use the ...
Fits well and works. We needed to use the spring from our broken one, though, because it is not included. Distance between D-Ring and screw plate is as important as the exposed wire measurement. We first bought one that had the correct measurement on the "s" end, but was too long at the D-Ring end, so it stuck out of the sofa.

Save big money by fixing it yourself
The fix I was looking for to fix my leather sofa. The furniture store I bought the sofa from wanted a ton of money to send someone out and repair this mechanisms but this was super-simple to repair with this part. I saved a lot of money but I would recommend taking off the one you intend to replace (taking pictures as you go - so you can put everything back EXACTLY as original) and measure everything and look carefully at the end and fastening hardware.

Works great after modifications
It was not the exact size I needed so I held a lighter up to it to melt the plastic around the metal wire. Kept pulling the cable back and forth. when the appropriate amount of plastic cover was melted away I pushed the molten plastic to together to make it near perfect length. now it works great!

this part appears to have a better design where the cable attaches to the handle
this part appears to have a better design where the cable attaches to the handle. Hopefully it will address the problem of the cable breaking from the handle at what was the weakest point of other parts that I've used in the past.

Recliner pull cable
Wasn't an exact match for the original. I had to do a little modification to make it work, but it works great now.
