Great game, somewhat held back by last generation
I have this game on both my PC and now my new PS5. On my PC, I am able to get a locked 60fps with all settings at Ultra at 1440p. On the PS5, there is also a 60fps option although it tends to go below that during intense moments. I think this 60fps mode is great and all, but I think playing this game at 4K @ 30fps is nicer to me as I love the visuals of lush England and Norway. I think the 4K resolution does well at showing off the buildings, the views from the hills and also just looks far cleaner on a 4K TV. As for the game itself, it is brilliant. Once you get to England everything opens up and its up to you how you want to tackle missions. I somewhat agree that the old Odyssey/Origins formula is still present in the game, although enough has been done to change how you tackle the game. I think what tends to put people of these Ubisoft games is the length and the scale of the maps. I don't think these people will have a good time here, seeing as there is a lot of map to explore and it is ultimately up to you to take your time. Patience is virtue. Fortunately, I think this game has got me hooked enough so that I can sink my teeth into it properly and enjoy it for what it is. The PS5 version of this game is superior to the PC version in my opinion. It is a stuttering mess for my PC so I am glad I got the PS5 version.

Assassins creed Valhalla: good not great
Good game with fun gameplay and great writing but map is too big and story too bloated for the moments to hit as hard as you are worn out by the end

I likes me some Assassins Creed
I'm a sucker for these games. They do get repetitive though but the Viking setting was fun

Fun but not worth more then £30
Same old assassins creed game. Great when there’s nothing else to play. Also, plenty of bugs. Sometimes the dialogue just goes completely silent with no subtitles and I have no idea what’s going on. Lots of other annoying bugs as well. But massive props to the staff for getting it playable during the pandemic. Fight mechanics are decent but no way near the awesome spider man (1&2), ghost of Tsushima and even Horizon and Arkham games all of which have a better stealth system, dodging and parrying. By no means is this game bad. It’s just not something I’ll ever replay or even remember fondly. Where does the story go from here? Unlike the other aforementioned games. I don’t care. Hopefully this will keep me entertained until some of the more recent games drop to a reasonable price such as guardians of the galaxy, which after the avengers flop I won’t be holding my breath. Please give me a great PS5 RPG exclusive ASAP - horizon 2, I’m looking at you!
