Disappointed
I bought this due to price to use in my blacksmith shop. From the start I was having problems using it to cut diffrent size metal for diffrent projects I was making. I mounted the saw on a post in a vertical possision which it had trouble working this way causing some parts to break. I sent it back for a refund and it was returned with no problem. I then bought another saw of a diffrent brand mounted it in the same way and it has worked with out problem ever sense. This might be a fine saw for normal type use but for me it was a disappointment.

So far, so good
I wanted a saw for sporadic use and ordered this one since the price was so good. I received it in a banged up product box (UPS) w/o any additional packaging. One of the guide blade screws had fallen out. However, when I tested it the first time, it ran for a few minutes and then the motor began to smoke and slowed to a crawl.Contacted Dave Finch and he apologized, sent a replacement which he said he would test personally before shipping. Received it in similar condition to the first one, but both guide screws were missing and one screw on the motor housing was stripped and loose. Ok, I fixed that, got new screws for the guide and have used it a couple of times since. It's worked just fine for me. Overall, its a good saw: feels sturdy, cuts fine, balance is good. I'm generally pleased with it for the money spent, but if little things like the missing screws annoy you, or you expect perfection for a saw at this price, you might order another one.For me, I'm happy with it so far.
