Will this fit and work with a dji mini- three (3) drone not the old one, and either way, what distance? thank you.

I can say it works for with the dji mini, but the payload has to be small as the drone is not capable of much payload.

How do you charge the remote? Where is the connector?

If you are referring to the dji remote, it charges from the port on the left side. It will accept a mini usb, just note that it is not the recommended fitment and could damage the port if not inserted carefully.
