This is amazing and I use it everyday in my classroom. You only need one cord and you can bookmark the website to use it for easy access! No more computer apps or 3 cords. I have it plugged into my Promethean board and it is perfect! Teachers, this is a great thing to add to your Amazon wishlist or ask your PTA!

I wasn't sure to get the Elmo 1433 Model OX-1 due to lack of reviews. But after a while I can surely say it was a great buy. It works really good and helped improve my teaching in ways I couldn't imagine. Works both for Mac and PC and you don't need to download any software if you want to use it right ahead in video conferencing platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet (the ones I mostly use). Just go to the conference settings and choose Elmo OX-1 as you default camera and you're good to go.

Updated Review: I recently used this Elmo while teaching a group of virtual students and it was sooo wonderful. I was able to show my book very clearly to my first graders and the picture had excellent quality. The online software worked seamlessly with my district laptop while I was on campus, so that was a huge plus. In order to make sure the Elmo “works” you need to hold down the circle button at the top of the camera for several seconds. After using this in a live teaching session, I would definitely recommend it. ____________________________________________ As an elementary teacher, I thought this Elmo was a dream come true bc you don't need to download any software onto the computer to use it and I loved the design. However, this Elmo has hardly worked. It won't turn on to project a picture. Very frustrating. It seems to have issues with discerning which camera to use, the webcam that came with my laptop, or the camera on the Elmo. I have watched all the youtube videos, read the instruction manual, called Amazon Customer Service for assistance. I was able to show the picture once while on the phone with the representative. I held down each of the two buttons on the Elmo for 30 seconds to get it to work. I'm at the point where I think I should return it. Maybe this one is defective or something. When I did get a picture for a few minutes, the picture quality was good. Otherwise, this Elmo is not easy to use, the camera isn't easy to detect, and the online software is glitchy at best.

My career started with the use of a blackboard and chalk, then the whiteboard with markers, then the computer. However, power point did not give me the vehicle to express additional thought. I need to be able to write my explanations and additional information on the screen. ELMO visual presenter is the answer. No complicated settings, just plug-in one cord and you are on your way.
