Dyson V7 Animal Plus Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

FAB love everything about this vacuum. It’s so quick to use, the stand means it’s charged ready all the time. Uses less electric. It’s got great attachments. It’s easy to empty once you get the hang of it. Love it.

There is nothing I dislike about my Dyson. This is my second one, I handed my old one to my daughter, and it's still going, eight years later. I have to confess I bought a shark cordless also this year, and hated it, too heavy and cumbersome, and not that efficient. So back to the Dyson.

For me personally it's a bit heavy for use above waist height. However I like that it is easy to maneuver and has good suction

This product is a very versatile and adaptable vacuum.The different attachments cover all types of surfaces and widths.We have found it purrfect for cleaning up our cat’s fur on her favourite rug. A daily necessity.It is so handy to detach from the charger and use for a couple of minutes, then plug back in.Our only criticism is the in use battery life, which extends to only 20 minutes of normal power and reduces to a very inadequate 6 minutes of Max.

Had a Vax which lasted less than a year. Way more suction on the Dyson and lightweight.

Makes vacuuming a pleasure. So easy to manoeuvre. I found emptying the dust box a little tricky but it gets easier with practice.

I am writing this review after nearly six months of ownership. It's light and the hanging charging mechanism is great. We use it in our kitchen as we have dark tiles and this makes life a little easier than sweeping up every five minutes. I've given it 1 star for ease of use (although when it works, it's a 4 star) - the "ease of use" problem comes when you empty it.When it works! It's great! However, if you're not 'incredibly' strong or own a vice, I would say steer clear of this cleaner. The problem with it is that it has a flimsy pull-up mechanism which requires you to pull the motor head clear of the dirt tank - and this sometimes gets VERY VERY stuck. I'm not talking a bit stuck. I mean stuck to the point that my wife hates this vaccuum cleaner and wishes we'd never bought it. It really can't be pulled out by hand, and the exertion required makes you think you're going to break it.At this point, the only way to open it (for me) is to put it in a vice and use brute force. It has been like this since we bought it, and I even tried oiling the mechanism which kinda worked 70% of the time. However, it's those other 30% of the time that make you curse this vaccuum. It seriously is nigh-on impossible to open when it gets stuck.You'll find lots of reviews and videos describing this problem and I wish I'd seen them before I bought it.I bought it based on these positive reviews on Amazon, but for anyone reading these reviews and asking for my recommendation: My own opinion would be to buy something else!

Cordless, light and highly effective - especially on stairs and clearing up cat fur. Never, ever would I have a corded sweeper again!!!!!!
