Great replacement. I love Makita vacuum, so I use all the time for everything and this is great replacement when I wash the original.

Perfectly functional. The only other ‘reviewer’ of this Pre-filter is obviously using it alone. To provide an appropriate filter for the Makita hoover, it requires two part; the ‘pre-filter’ (the cage) and the ‘paper filter’ the changeable filter. Once the latter gets old, or too glogged with dust, it is to be changed. The cage, or pre-filter, only very occasionally. Or if it breaks.The filter works just fine, for its size.

Doesn't come with the filter sock ,that was the only reason I ordered it in the first place

Crap stuff. Fine dust blowing out of the vacuum cleaner
