I first tried one of the cheap knockoffs that have the slots for the fins on the assembly. All that succeeded in doing was breaking the fins off my assembly. I upgraded to this tool and it fit perfectly on the 14-sided assembly and I was easily able to crack it loose on the vehicle with no damage to anything. It wasn't cheap, but I love the peace of mind in knowing I have a tool that works as well as the OEM. I wish I would have just bought this one in the first place. Steer clear of the cheaper tools that have the three-plus-three slots in the edge for the fins. The fins are NOT intended to bear the torque of removing the assembly from your vehicle and they will break if given the chance.

This tool is a must have. I bought 2 filter removal tools from local Auto Parts stores and both bent or tore. I bought this tool looks awesome, very well made, solid non-viewable welds. Worked like a charm from over tightening of canister. Would definitely buy this again, it's such a well made tool.

Absolutely the best Toyota/Lexus oil filter wrench out there. Just like the blue point. Doesn't stick, won't break them, even if jiffy lube/Valvoline/Walmart or your dealer's lube tech hacks installed to 300ft lbs. Only complaint is it's 1/2 inch, would prefer 3/8 but that's just me.

I hate that Toyota uses a plastic canister oil filter systems. I’ve completed destroyed 2 aluminum and one stamped steel cheap filter wrenches trying to remove the oil filter housing on my wife’s 2022 highlander after the dealership torqued the housing too much. I was considering biting the bullet and ordering one from Snap-On. I’m glad I tried this one first. It’s about 1/3rd the cost of the Snap-On and works great for me. I’d buy it again if I need to but I’ve had a 36” breaker bar on it and it held up fine! Highly recommend!

Excellent product. Exactly what I needed to get off the filter housing that someone overtightened.

This Socket works excellently for insert type filters, like most Toyotas, with 64mm housings...doesnt stick on to the housing, like every other one I have....lost a few that way... But not quite as good on the self-contained spin-on 64 mm filters...seems just a tad loose, and can slip on a real tight filter. I'm going to try to tighten it up a bit with a laver of electrical tape on the contact surface, since I do more spin-ons, and I think it will still work on the housing-type. It's very heavy duty with a fine finish, and a pleasure to use. I would rather have a 3/8 drive than this 1/2" drive, but it works great with a adapter I have. So, Almost Perfect.
