I did not encounter any of the installation or assembly problems others have described. The new "box" easily covered the existing standard light fixture rough in box . The remote control dimmer and Kelvin temperature adjustment is worth the money. It allows you to balance the brightness to coordinate with other room lighting and adjust the hue to whatever works best in your room.

Nice fixture. Came wrapped in plastic wrap that was very hard to remove and made the whole thing have a chemical smell that still lingers two days after installation. The installation instructions are badly written, but OK. The instructions for the remote are incomplete. Build quality is standard for China. The LED strips inside the frame are not adhered well so they buckle out inside the channel making the light uneven. I had to fix that with some glue.

Absolutely unintelligible instructions to work the remote. Absolutely! And it is very complicated because there are so many features. It flashes bright light and I can't control the flashing. How horrible. I have searched everywhere for actual English written instructions for the remote but found none. I am near tears. Finally the flashing stopped but I dare not touch the remote for fear it will go back into flashing mode. Nice You tube video of installation. What they need is to have an English speaker rewrite the remote instructions, post them on google and You Tube. So angry I can't afford to have it removed by my electrician who charges $132/ hour, one hour minimum,, then purchase another and reinstall fees. Awful.

Love it!! Had many compliments on how it looks. What I like the most is you dim the light in the evening and when you awake in the morning and go to the kitchen for coffee and turn on the light, it is still dimmed. There isn’t a bright light to hurt your eyes first thing in the morning! The light is very bright and lights better than cam lights for working in the kitchen. A good buy!

I purchased this light twice. The 2nd purchase I received a remote that never worked. I read other reviews-how to fix. Either I received the incorrect remote or it is faulty. The look of the light is very modern, I just want the remote to work. Please send me the correct one with instructions on how to get remote working.

Do not buy. The remote was missing but we didn’t pay much attention to that. The biggest issue was that the lights stopped working 3 days after installing them! They were installed correctly so there shouldn’t have been any issues except the lights simply don’t work properly. Waste of money and now we are now stuck without lights in a few rooms.

Its bit high priced.

I installed this light in a galley kitchen. It could have been even bigger but the size works. I tried out another light similar to this that had circles rather than rectangles and I must admit, it was much easier to assemble than this was. Both the written instructions and the video you can watch to assemble this light were both lacking. I received parts that weren't listed in the instructions. I also received parts that were noted in the instructions but I have no idea what they were to be used for. Neither the instructions nor the video ever showed these parts being used. It was very confusing, and when you're working with electricity, you don't want to be screwing something up. They also give you a couple of parts that, I assume, were to be simply placed between 2 of the rectangles to ensure they stay level. Unfortunately those parts wouldn't fit where the instructions said to place them. The light also sits at a bit of an angle. It's not bad enough that it was necessary to send the light back. Installing it to the ceiling mount was a major pain. The rectangular box that attaches to the ceiling mount has a screw on each of the 4 sides. The box needs to have mounting slots that are rectangular, that are wide enough to accommodate the thread shaft of the screw. It then needs the larger round hole at the end of that rectangular opening that will accommodate the screw-head. This way, you would be able to fix all 4 screws into the mounting bracket on the ceiling the slide the mounting box onto the screws and slide the box so all 4 sides are resting on the threads of the screws. That would make it much easier to tighten the screws and secure the light fixture. Currently, you get to line up one screw at a time while holding up a large light and try to tighten the screw. You then either have to lean far out on your ladder or move it to get to another screw to line up and tighten. Unfortunately you can't let go of the light when it only has one screw holding it in place. What if it falls?! The light is not heavy but holding it with one hand while trying to get a screw into the hole without the screw falling was a nightmare. Someone really needs to rethink the holes in the mounting box. Oh, and for goodness sake, fix your video and the written instructions! Having said all that, the light is bright enough and that are a multitude of variations you can choose from. I always planned to use the light switch and not the remote so I was concerned that I'd choose a setting, only to have it revert to the original bright setting when I switched the light on again. Once I chose my preferred setting, it stays that way when I turn the light on again. Not all lights with remotes will do that.
