Kill Control Fire Ants Fire Ant Bait Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Killer Bait 1.5lbs

Every summer for years we have fought fire ants. Not just in the yard, but in the kitchen. Every day. For years. We wake up to anywhere from a couple to a couple hundred fire ants in the kitchen. You eventually dread even going into the kitchen because there was always fire ants in there. We keep everything either in ziplock bags or in the fridge but they still come in. We first tried Extinguish mid-summer last year (2024) and the day after I put it out was the first day we didn't have any fire ants in the kitchen. I honestly thought is was a fluke, but they just never came back. This year we put it out starting in late April and we haven't had any ants in the kitchen. Not one. We sprinkle it on the ground along the wall outside the kitchen. We also treat other areas that are important to keep fire ant free, like the dog's play kennel. We put it out every couple weeks through the summer and we also treat mounds as soon as we see them. Usually one treatment will kill a whole mound, but it may take a few days. Large mounds may take 2 or three treatments. The most I've had to do is 3 in a large mound inside the dog kennel. It may have been good with just or 2 but I didn't want to take any chances. This stuff is life changing.

Works well, I really like the cap so I can treat specific hills without getting out a spreader. Put it out 2-3 days in a row and the fire ants are gone. Haven’t seen ant hills come back in the same areas even after a month.

Use yearly for last 6 years in horse pastures - every year have fewer mounds. Safe for horses, says no need to keep horses off, but we do keep horses off for several days. Just wait to apply when ground/ weather is warm and dry. This is the only pesticide/chemical used on our farm ever.

We have 2 acres. We have about .5 of it we need to have ant free. Piles were popping up along our long driveway and the site of it was awful. So I bought this stuff. I sprinkled and sprinkled and sprinkled over a couple of months. One pile would die and another would pop up 2 feet from it the next day or 2. Over and over. And we are talking about dozens of piles over an area of an acre or so.We read that if this stuff gets wet it doesn't work. So if you have morning dew......After trying this stuff twice, we switched to some cheaper stuff that you spread with a spreader and the ants all disappeared within a week. Gone. No more piles.Dont waste your money on extinguish.

It worked 50% of the time. I applied to numerous fire ant mounds on my 2.5 acre property. Sometime it killed the mound on the first or second try, other times the ants did not seem to be affected at all. I would recommend mixing it with the O brand granular treatment, it seems to increase the kill rate.

This stuff is seriously amazing and very easy to use, it kills ants quickly and it works for a very long time. I applied it to my yard via a spreader and within a few days all the mounds in my yard were dead and we didn't have another mound or ants for a solid year and a half. Its definitely worth the money i spent and I will definitely purchase again next spring
