A fun and kid-friendly introduction to Tagalog! The Tuttle MORE Tagalog for Kids Flash Cards kit is an introductory Tagalog language learning tool specially designed to help children from preschool through early elementary level acquire basic words, phrases, and sentences in Tagalogโthe official language of the Philippinesโ in a fun and easy way. The flashcards can be used as a learning tool in a classroom setting, at home, or anywhere that learning takes place, and can easily be taped around the room for an interactive way to learn Tagalog. The set contains a total of 64 words organized into thematic categories, including: Nature , Weather , Opposites , Actions , Things I Like To Do , At My House , and Going to Different Places . All of the words are illustratedโthe pictures serve as effective visual aids to help children learn and remember each word's meaning. Words often reflect cultural objects and items and can be studied in any order. Learners may focus on one theme at a time or mix them up for a little more variety. Also included in this kit is an audio CD which provides native pronunciation of the words, and sample sentences for practiceโsentences that children would use in everyday life. Songs and other activities are also included on the free audio CD. Finally, the kit also includes a wall chart featuring the front of each card for kids to review and a learning guide for teachers and/or parents with tips, activities and more! If your child is really interested in learning more words, and you missed the first kit, check out the Tuttle Tagalog for Kids Flash Cards kit (978-0-8048-3957-0). Review: Great product and good price - We purchased both the Tagalog Flash Cards and the "More" Tagalog Flash Cards, and we loved them. The flash cards are a nice size and good quality. They also have a couple of phrases on the back to give examples of how to use each word. I thought this was great. The disc was good. The lady says all the words and even does some songs. The songs are kind of funny, since they are not at all production quality audio, the guitar is sounds like if it was any cheaper, it wouldn't hold tune. But that's great. Don't get me wrong. It's sweet. I think it was perfect and added to the sweet cultural feel. (Also, that coming from a snobby musician/recording nerd). The poster is exactly what you see on the front sides of the flash cards which was great for us, because it gave our kids another chance to pick out the words. It's a nice size. We took ours to Staples and had it laminated. It was $12 to do it, which was expensive to me but to be expected from Staples. Anyway, I am glad we did it, because it will last much longer this way. The paper wouldn't last long. I understand though. It's hard to fit in the packaging and keep it affordable if they tried to laminate it for you. Review: Great Learning Material - I bought these for my coworkerโs toddler because sheโs teaching her Tagalog. So far she says that her daughter loves her new flash cards. They are larger than usual flash cards but thatโs just fine Iโll for toddlers and small kids. I wish they had them in other Filipino dialects.

Great Product
My wife and I bought this to help our daughter learn Tagalog. Although my wife is a native speaker, my daughter is just starting to learn both English and Tagalog. It is very good helping a less than 2 year old learn.

Very nice Tagalog language learning packs.
I purchased both sets: "Tagalog for Kids" and "More Tagalog for Kids". Very good language flash card set containing 64 cards with easy to identify images and the Tagalog on the front. Back of each card has the Tagalog and the English, along with two example sentences in both languages. The set contains a wall chart of all the cards, a booklet with some children's songs, and an audio CD with the Filipino pronunciations of the vocabulary and the songs from the booklet. I haven't found much use for the these, but the CD should be very helpful for those who need examples of the Filipino accent and pronunciation. I have read some complaints, here, that the CD audio is unclear and difficult to understand, but that is not my experience. The vocabulary is spoken slowly and clearly with a native Filipino accent that is neither to heavy to understand, nor to light to hear the accuracy of the accent and pronunciation. The set I received of "Tagalog for Kids" was somewhat incomplete. It contained two duplicate cards, while missing two others. I telephoned Tuttle (the publisher) and they graciously sent me the two missing cards to complete the set. The "More Tagalog" set I received was complete. The only problem I have with the card set is that the card stock could be a little heavier and more durable. The laminated paper stock that is used is easily mangled by my 7 month old daughter if she manages to grab the cards from my hands. For an older child, or even an adult, this should not be much of an issue.

Happy with purchase
I did not know that there was an audio cd included. Have been teaching them to my sons and they seem to have learned! Will buy more flash cards after we finish this one!

Great learning tool for kids
I like how each flash card was presented however I wish the pronunciation was displayed on each card as well. Since my daughter and I are both learning a new language, I want to make sure we are saying it correctly.
