How does the pen look upon unboxing? Is it shiny or dull?

It's shiny at first, but like any raw brass, it will dull and get a cool vintage looking patina very quickly, that's the whole point. You can easily shine it up with some polish, but if you don't want that hassle, get a gold one.

How is tip wiggle on the brass model?

I have a brass and a few older steel versions. I can detect no difference between them. I have never really noticed any wiggle in any of them. The brass one just looks cooler!

Will a G2 ink refill fit inside?

Nope, not this pen. Only the Fisher Space Pen ball pen refill will fit. But you might be looking for the Macine Era pen, which accommodates the G2 refill.http://www.amazon.com/Machine-Era-Pen-Solid-Brass/dp/B00ZSPRW0S
