Great Music from Martina McBride. The music today is just not as good as it was during the 90's. I miss those years and this cd takes me back their. Thank God for Music.

Martina McBride first caught my ear on "I Love You" but I never expected Emotion to be as uptempo and light as it is. Of course, like any typical listener, I set the song I liked (the aforementioned "I Love You") on repeat so I didn't really listen to the remaining tracks until I pretty much bored myself over the song I'd been listening to. "Do What You Do," "Anything, "Make Me Believe" and "There You Are" all sounded as terrific as "I Love You"--little pop-py for Country music (I'd never been a HUGE Country fan, but had a phase of Country in junior high) but still Country (a la the presence of steel guitar in almost every song). 1999's Emotion by Martina McBride surprised me with an extremely delectable combination of the perfect Country-Pop. Definitely a suggested buy for any Country fan.

This is a great album, and remains my favorite. It's simply a great set. At the time of this release, Country was turning mainstream, but good is good. It's got wonderful depth and breadth. A great among many greats.

Martina always picks songs with so much depth and emotion, that really touches the listener and that's really what country music is all about!! Songs that people can relate to and she definately does it on this album.Such as the female - empowering hit It's My Time to the beautiful ballad From The Ashes(about putting the past behind you)Plus the gorgeous Patty Griffin penned song Good Bye and the simply fantastic socially conscious hit Love's The Only House this is without a doubt the standout on this album.There's also her big hit I Love You,this catchy uptempo was no.1 for 6 weeks!She wraps up the album with 2 deeply touching ballads-The Uncivil War(about the effect divorce has on a family)to the beautiful For The Love Of A Woman(about a man devoted to the woman he loves)so sweet.You can never go wrong with a Martina McBride album,she never disappoints.So let yourself be drawn into the world of this amazing singer...

Marina McBride is another artist who I think everything she does is good. I bought this in 1999 when it first came out. I Love You I think was the first single and she sings it from the heart. That and Happy Girl seem to be the story of her home life. Bouncy, perky and happy. Love's The Only House was another single and another hit. The story to the song is good. But it is probably my lest favorite hit she ever did. It would be better without the harmonica. Which sounds like it is being played by someone who doesn't really know how to be play it and is just moving it back and forth. I saw her live once and she is the one that plays the harmonic on it. At least live. So maybe it's just me.The rest of the cd uis good. With Anything's Better Than Feeling The Blues and It's My Time other favorites. This whole cd is good. Just like all of Martina's cds.

ここ最近、Martinaづいておりますが、聴き方としては頭からさらーっと流して聴いていることが多く、耳に心地よいのであまり聴き疲れしないですね。私がどちらかというとスローバラード好きですので、９あたりがお気に入りリストに入っています。ただ、前作と比べると、バラードを思い切り歌い上げているというところがやや薄いのでやや物足りない感じもしなくもありません。だからといって駄作というものではなく、いつもの彼女のアルバムとしては平均点以上ではないかと思います。カントリーアレンジはEvolutionよりやや濃い目？に味付けされているようですが、嫌味なところはありませんよ。天気の良い休日の朝のドライブのお供に！
