I have tried alot of the $100 range audio interfaces all work the same but the only problem I kept running into is when I use it with my DAW (digital audio workstation) the audio in my headphones would not go that loud...as most audio interfaces max out between 5to 7 dbu but this little pyle of audio equipment for $35 does everything my focusrite does but it goes way louder the headphone output on this is 10dbu now at half volume it is super LOUD and the mic works good as well with my DAW even tho its only phanthom power is 18v it fires up my condensor mic and very low latency.. I say get this mixer/audio interface it works well you will not be disappointed. I wish this was around last year b4 I bought the focusrite solo cause this is a great unit... Hope this helps someone out there in same place I was...now can go as loud as I need to with out limits and distortion and it runs off of usb power

I needed a single XLR box to allow one of my podcast guests to record remotely and the Pyle-Pro has worked out perfectly. The audio is clean and crisp with our Shure SM 58s and the unit itself is easy to use right out of the box. We had it set up and recording in minutes. For the price, quality, and ease of use, you won’t find a better solution.

I have been using this little guy for years. Hooked up my Shure SM58 Beta mic up to it with a pyle XLR cable and now my twitch stream and my youtube videos sound great! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a USB interface without having to pay a premium. I took a star off because I had a problem connecting a mic a while back. There also are not as many inputs as I would like but that's what you have to pay extra for.

I needed a small mixer with a microphone input and the ability to add sound through another channel. Also a headphone output to enable me to judge levels. This mixer is doing the job very nicely. The only problem I encountered is that the microphone I am using is a broadcast type and has a - 70db output, the gain of the mixer was not quite high enough so I had too add a small microphone pre-amp. The mixer has been working over a few weeks now and I am well pleased with it.

Perhaps calling this a mixer is pushing it but it is a great audio interface. I'm using this on a 13 inch MacBook Pro and it solves the issue of one audio jack and does allow a few input options with gain control. If digitizing vinyl this is great in that you can hook up a turntable to it however you may need a preamp source pending the type of turntable. The audio quality is much better than using a USB turntable with I also have used. This is very good for a mic input for a Mac or other computer. The audio quality for a mic is really amazing, much better than i expected.
