Exactly what I needed. Thought the ice maker was broken until I put this filter in.

My ice machine stopped pulling water in to make ice not long ago. We called the repair man and he ran a full diagnostic on the machine. He took the filter out and the water started flowing again! I was shocked because the filter says you should replace every 9 months. We got 3.5 months out of the last one and we also have soft water. I installed the new filter today and everything seems to be back to normal. This filter is expensive, but it’s worth it. The ice is clear and consistent in size and tastes good. Have confidence buying this filter

This filter has always been the proven end to good solid ice. We have a built in under counter ice maker and we enjoy the ice

This ice filter works as expected for my Whirlpool undercabinet ice maker. This is the recommended replacement and it has mostly performed well. I prefer to stick with the OEM in this case considering ice machines are finicky and prone to failure so compatibility is important. One of the past purchased units only lasted about 4 months before it completely stopped delivering water so I have bumped the star rating down. This is definitely a premature failure considering I have a whole home water softener system to remove many contaminants. Filters are generally over-priced, but what can you do. Otherwise the life of the filters make it to their normal 6-month+ replacement cycle without issues.
