Is this the same PG-2000 lube formulation that was available for woodworking machinery?

I have no idea but it is an excellent chain oil.

Does this have an adjustable spray pattern? How easy is it to apply uniformly while turning the cranks on your bike?

I use the ProGold needle applicator, one drop on each roller. The only thing that should ever be lubricated on a chain is the rollers, as the rollers are the only part of the chain that actually touches the gear teeth. One drop roller may seem complicated, but it only takes about a minute or two, and it uses much less lube. I never saw the point of spraying a chain all over with Lube, only to wipe almost all of it off later, not to mention the overspray that ends up on the bike, the stand, and the floor.

This is a synthetic lubricant am I correct

As I understand, it isnt petroleum based, so I believe it is synthetic.

What is the sediment that settles at the bottom of the bottle?

I haven't ever even notice any.I guess just shake it up.
