Well this product may be a little expensive for what it is but let me tellya is worth it. Mic is very good (what else would you expect from Rode?) and the light even though is very small it will blind you. I think they could've made a box for travel since is for Vlogging but mmmm... still 5 stars product.

I bought this kit in April 2021 for $149.00 to use with my business. I bought it film Real Estate videos on my ipad pro.It started out working fine for a few months. Then in November the sound was sooo light it sounded like everything, even large noises were whispering.I tried using the Rode App to increase the sound.I sent it back to Rode’s manufacturing to troubleshoot and repair. They said it’s fine but sent me a replacement, which did the same thing.I had my cousin plug it into his android phone, no issues. Mic worked beautifully.Then I plugged it into my MacBook Air, no issues again.It doesn’t work all of a sudden with my ipad pro 11. So if there’s a patch or fix that Apple needs to release, i clearly don’t have it. Now all i have is an expensive paperweight.

Quality all the way around, from the tripod to the mic, to the light and accessories. My only quibble is the price. The are other similar setups that are similar at less expense.

Hi. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I saw some odd reviews so here is my 2 cents. Mic works and is noticeably better even just using my phone's playback speakers. The light works, but the directions for using it aren't very helpful. It says to hold it down to turn on/off. That didn't work for me right away. Try a rapid double click or try charging it for a little while. The double click worked for me at first and now holding it down for 2 seconds works to power on and off. Don't give up!Aside from the directions with no words, the only inconvenience I encountered is that the mic won't go into the USB port deep enough with my phone's protective case on. There seem to be options for remedying this, but at a fairly significant expense. I'm going to keep digging for a better inexpensive solution than taking my phone case off or carving out the bottom to allow the mic to fit.

I mainly wanted a tripod that wouldn't break.While this tripod has well built quality, be careful opening the phone holder all the way, or the springs will fly away never to be seen again.The build on the light is excellent and looks like you could run it over without causing damage. But it's not good. The battery life is atrocious. And to top it off, you can't use it while plugged in.If the light is "On" (as indicated by the charging light on the back, not the actual light) while plugged in, it also won't charge, which is probably why people are saying it stopped working. It took me a week to realize that.The microphone is good as a mic.You will need to update it with a horribly made app that you'll never use for any other reason.And that app will insist on automatically opening itself every time you plug the microphone in.The microphone's firmware (i assume) also indicates that it is not a mic, but a headset.This sucks, because if you record something, and want to play it back to yourself, you have two options:1: Unplug the mic.2: Use a wired headset plugged into the mic.If you go with option 2 while recording, you'll notice the audio and video aren't in sync, so you have to unplug your headset while recording and plug it in to listen.If you go with option 1 and unplug the mic, but then have to re-record your video, you get the app opening up, which is annoying.As far as build quality, audio quality, usability, etc. 4.7 stars. Minus a few because of the spring thing.As far as firmware, negative 3 stars. It's beyond bad, it's actively going out of its way to inconvenience you.If you can get over that, it's worth buying used.I won't be returning this, but I wish rode would at least make some sort of update to fix these issues.

Love it works great

This is a very substantial and well-made piece of junk. The light that fits on the top stopped working after 5 minutes. It appears the switch is broken. It will not light up even after receiving a full charge and is now nothing but a paperweight. I tore open the boxing and threw it away and so I can't return it but it was a waste of money. That's unfortunate because usually Rode products are reliable and well-made. Beware. I'm not the first person complaining that the light is no good.

The media could not be loaded.  Hoy compré este micrófono en el kit de Vloggerkit. Lo uso en un Samsung S10e y al empezarva grabar, entre poco se escucha un ruido. Lo escucho 1 vez cada minuto de uso. Yo no puedo grabar una fiesta con ese desperfecto. Si compré un micrófono fue para mejorar el audio, no para arruinarlo.

Great as usally from RODE top quality and great sound comes in very handy with my Cage.

Le support est super, par contre la lampe ne tient pas la charge 30mn max.Le micro n'a presque aucun intérêt.Défaut:Il y a un très gros bruit de fond et l'effet cathédrale augmenté sans solution, obligé de passer la vidéo en studio pour dénoiser le bruit de fond!Obligé de le débrancher pour lire le son des vidéos!La bonnette apparait dans le cadre si caméra arrière.Le cameraman ne peut pas discuter avec la personne filmée, car le micro n'a qu'une tête.Avantage:Enlève un minimum le bruit du vent.Facile a utiliserCible le son pour éviter les bruits périphériques.Il y aura mieus un jour j'espère... on va dire après le travail de studio vous augmenté la qualité de 5 à 10%.Si vous êtes en intérieur face à la caméra sans bruit ce micro ne sert à rien, les tests youtube son biaisé par le marketing et un gros travail de studio.

I am using this microphone with my Mi 11 Ultra and the audio quality even after update the firmware from rode reporter app is worse than my phone's microphone.2 stars are completely for the support team and the things that you get in the box.Audio quality of this microphone is pathetic and i have no idea how many youtubers reviewed this product and said its the best kit for vloggers. I think they all were editing the audio in post processing and just lying to the viewers for the money they were getting!!Another possible reasoning can be that they have not updated firmware for Mi 11 Ultra that's just the benifit of the doubt i am giving them but anyway i am returning this back and they(rode) lost a customer.Btw this was my first rode purchase and is gonna be my last!!
