Nice, cheap DVDRW drive
This is a great little optical drive, if you're still using CDs and DVDs these days you can't go wrong with this drive. The price is unbeatable, it's sleek and nice looking (I like the brushed look across the top) and operates perfectly. A single USB port is all you need unlike the ole' days where an external optical drive needed two. The cable is attached and tucked in on the bottom and I actually like that, one less cable to worry about. My unit includes the TSST TS-L632H optical drive which supports 24x CD Read/Write, 8x DVD Read/Write respectively. Overall, a very worthwhile, low-cost optical drive.

Great buy!
My first time buying an external cd/dvd player for my laptop. It plays well, it’s a compact size and is compatible with my laptop. Just plug it in and play. Great price.

NOT WINDOWS 10 COMPATIBLE
I ordered this 6 months ago (Feb 2021) when I realized my internal drive wasn't working, and it stayed in its box until I needed it. Plugged it in and it spins but nothing plays. After some finnagling around, I read the description again and WAY DOWN AT THE END OF PRODUCT DESCRIPTION it says, "NOTE: Customer’s using Windows 10 are advised to Install VLC Media player to Play DVD and CD." Well I have VLC Media Player, so I opened it and found the file. The VIdeo scenes were divided, so I had to choose from several, and then it played ONLY the Video portion (NO AUDIO). Also, it will NOT play CD's. The product is described as "CD/DVD Drive" but on the actual item it says "DVD R/RW". Too bad there's a lot of crap on Amazon and you have to be wary. 20 bucks wasted.

Great addition for laptop
I was disappointed when I found that the new laptop I got didn't have a CD drive built in (guess that how they make them thinner and lighter). So, I got this external drive and it works great. Truly "plug and play" device. And it's small enough to tuck in my tote bag with the laptop.

not great
Haven't been able to use because my apple laptop does not charge it so it won't turn on Of I connect it to a charging port I can't connect it to the laptop .so it is unusable..Would have been useful to know that or provide a seperat.charging port on the device along with the USB cord.
